The Game Awards 2023 (December 7) - watch Spider man 2 win everything.

Especially women. A lot of women love Astarion and he is the most popular romance for female gamers in Baldur's Gate 3. Women love the manipulative scumbag vampire spawn and even admitted that they got the game just so they can romance him.
Hell, a lot of them go out of their way to make him become fully manipulative scumbag. They even view it as the “real good path” for him.

I've said this last year with -hang on, I genuinely don't remember what was GOTY last year.
But, anyway, BG3 being GOTY says hell of a lot more about the absolute state of the games industry than it does about BG3.
GOTY last year was Elden Ring, also deserved over that year's Spider-Man aka God of War.

What does it say about the state of the games industry? Tell me, give me examples. From what I see Baldur's Gate 3 is an exceptionally ambitious game, full of options and content made by a passionate AA developer not beholden to AAA shitty business practices. It's a long, single player RPG with no micro-transactions that they didn't even charge the price creep for and went with the standard $60. It is the exception to a shitty crappy modern industry. What is it you want in gaming?

Triple A is completely pozzed, but this is still the best time to play video games.
Ignore triple A and embrace small studios and publishers.

AMID EVIL - The Black Labyrinth was Amazing.

The Community Award thing is also 100% true. Larian has been extremely diligent in attending to feedback.

"Best Adaption" for The Last of Us
That doesn’t even count as a win for them since it’s just a TV show based on the games.
On the bright side, Fallout takin the dub next year. 😏
BG3 is GOTY deservingly
Copium.
It's a very good game
If I wanted to play some old PC jank I’d play Daggerfall.
That’s bad.

Elden Ring lmao.
Todd didn't win anything.
That’s bad.
Give it a chance. If you hate the gay, then mod it away.
Or just not play turn based fantasy shovelware.
The best part of the game awards this year is that spider-man 2 didnt win anything
Based.
New Dragon Ball
Based. Tenkaichi 4 can’t wait.

The future is always the best time to play video games as every new game competes against the overwhelming majority of video games that have been released in the past
With advancements in hardware and emulation software and mod development, almost every second is better than the last
Doesn't change the fact that the industry has been in a laughable state for the past 10 years, but at least brings it into perspective

By the way, can anyone believe that Goodbye Volcano High was even nominated for an award?

That shit was funny af. I'd have given anything for the projector to freeze at that moment, and the images get perma-burned into the screen at that point. Would have been the funniest shit all the rest of the night.

Still wish TOTK won, but I fully expected BG3 to win, so I’m not surprised by the outcome.

That said, what is it about BG3 that has people raving about it being “revolutionary”, “a wake-up call to the industry”, and “one of the greatest achievements in the medium”? Cause while I’m sure it’s great (and definitely has more new in it than other nominees like TOTK and SM2), this is something that many other games have been acclaimed of doing in the past (TW3, BOTW, RDR2, ER, etc).

What does BG3 do exactly that has people worshiping it so much that other games from the past haven’t done?

I'll be honest, I just make fun of the Bear Sex cause it pisses BG3 fans off.
It's even funnier if you talked to Halsin about transforming into bear
he mentioned that there was a time when he was a bear and got approached by a regular female bear to fuck

Compared to other games, BG3 is way more enjoyable to play
and I played CP2077 and Starfield

So it's not even BG3, you just don't like a particular genre. Rgr.
No, it’s Baldur’s Gate 3 as well. It looked mid as fuck from the gameplay I watched. I don’t care how many Gorgillion choices I have if the gameplay isn’t fun, the characters are annoying and the quests suck my left ball.
Fuck turn based Fantasy Shovelware. If I wanna play turn based stuff I’ll play Shadowrun Trilogy Remastered for free on God Pass. I’m tired of generic fantasy garbage. Only time I care is when it’s Elder Scrolls.
