I was watching some of those catch a pedo videos and honestly, if Sam is one, his punishment should be having to do community service as a pedo hunter, I know he did it once with Frank but the guy got away. Fishtank wasn't my thing, I kind of like some parts, but I don't enjoy that much because it doesn't live up to the concept enough. I understand why though.

I think it's also important to realize that most of Sam's advice is directed towards average young men who are seeking modest success in life, or at least trying to become more well adjusted than they are. Being a trust fund artist kid, I think every piece of advice he could give would come off as tone deaf, preachy, hypocritical, etc. to an extent regardless of content due to his background. Considering the amount of influence he has over autistic weirdos, I think telling people to work hard and value their time is some of the better advice that he could give.

The debtmaxxing shit on the other hand is super dangerous and I hope nobody followed through on that unless they were already in a truly inescapable hole of debt.

Telling your overwhelmingly young audience many of which are literally just turning 18-20 to ruin their credit forever is such horrible advice and it's amazing Sam doesn't get more shit for making that video.

Am I the only one who doesn't think the debt maxing stuff is that bad? When I was 18 I severely fucked up my credit by maxing out credit cards and I never paid them back and they eventually went to collections. There was a seven year period where my credit score was really really low and I couldn't get anymore credit. But that was at a period in my life where I didn't really need any credit. I was in my early 20s focusing on work and stacking up money. The only thing a bad credit score prevented me from doing was renting an apartment. Around 7 years later I started getting offers from credit card companies and my credit score is goated now.

I was gonna write like a yap session but it started sounding gay so I am just gonna speak in absolutes and when someone calls me retarded I'll explain myself.

1. I think debt maxing is pretty tongue-in-cheek. Sam quite literally said he took debt out to get his bag of magic coins and if it didn't work out he would have shot himself. It falls in line with the shit Sam and Nick say about how there is literally no benefit to playing nice with big corporations, which is generally true it sort of depends in my experience, I'll get into that below.

2. I'd only ever debt max if I was like 19 and needed money fast to start a business and was getting paid in some non-traditional way. Someone in trades can comment, but I believe there is some under-the-table pay stuff that might make it so your wages don't get garnished. You won't go to jail or be killed and you can usually talk down your debt because companies outsource to collection agencies and after enough time they either don't wanna spend the resources to contact you or want to settle on what is essentially your terms. Long story short pretty situational and not really worth it, especially if you are into the house stuff like Nick is cause that requires financing.

3. 99% of people just don't think when it comes to debt. I guess this is an anecdote from my life but my dad, who is one of these 'rain man' people, very cold but logical, has been paying off like 12k in credit card debt for maybe 12 years. I hear him talking to some fucking outsourced Indian debt agency on the phone and I keep telling him, Dad just negotiate it down. He doesn't even need credit his house is paid off and he has his car paid off. He goes on about how it's 'the principle of paying it back'. Most people just have no understanding of the rules of the game and don't really want to learn anyway. I remember shitting on Dave Ramsey cause of his advice, but I have come to realize most 'normal' people cant own a credit card without overspending on it and that's why he goes so hard on not taking out debt. I'd wager people this deep into the internet know more about the American financial system even if most are broke or NEETS.

Wow this still reads like a gay reddit post, well I tried. Basically, the more I go through my life the more I agree with Sam that most people are fucking retards who literally need to be treated like children, especially boomer people idc how much that makes me sound like a douche.

The debtmaxxing advice isn't bad at all. He's recommending you take on debt in order to increase your profits. You're certain BTC is going forever up and it's 2010? Max out every credit card you have and ride it out. Your business is doing well but you need to shell out tens of thousands for equipment or supplies? Fucking do it. Don't want to liquidate your investments but need to pay for car repairs? Put it on the Visa, who gives a shit? The problem is that retards think debtmaxxing means buying Gucci and Mustangs and keeping their McDonalds job

Unsecured consumer debt is a goldmine for people who have a brain and a plan. If you don't need good credit for the next 7 years and you're willing to ignore phone calls and shred letters you're in the clear. Just make sure you always pay the debts that will actually get you in trouble, don't fuck with the IRS
