Games you think have perfect soundtracks. - Post 'em, boys and girls.

From start to finish, every stage song in this game is like an audio drug taking your brain to amazing places.

Nier: Automata. Say what you want about the game itself, the soundtrack slaps. The Amusement Park, A Beautiful Song, Kaine's theme. So much variation, all showing the emotion of the moment.

Frostpunk. It's hard for a soundtrack to sound cold. Frostpunks OST manages to do that while walking that line of hope/despair.

Every game in the Zero Escape trilogy
I second this as well.

Metal Gear has some pretty good music across the series.

This is still probably one of my favorite video game songs.

Surprised it wasn't already brought up, but Jet set radio also has great music. I haven't played the game in a very long time, but I still listen to the OST a lot.

Outer wilds
GTA San Andreas
Tyrian 2000

All my other picks have already been mentioned (Jet Set Radio, Deus Ex, Streets of Rage, Saints Row 2, GTA Vice City)

Última edición:
Brick by brick! Couple other older Lego games with great soundtracks too. Drome Racers is really bumpin and Bionicle the first console game is also really good. Bob and Barn composed the music for Bionicle and each song matches the Wahi perfectly.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 is a good ol one for racing. Nice blend of 2000s grunge and a couple funny songs from Hot Action Cop.

Rondo of Blood, best tracks in the castlevania series. Best Pixel art in the series too, controversial cause most people seem to prefer SOTN in both areas.
Money Puzzle Exchanger, great ringtones
Wonder Boy III Dragons trap, I like it
Wolfenstein 3d and RTCW, best versions of Horst Wessel Lied

Not even a passing mention of anything mdae by Sonic Mayhem? Horrible!

Quake 2 has a great soundtrack!

All you had to do was put the game disc in a CD player and you got to play the soundtrack.

I also want to add to Team Fortress 2, the community turned gay but the game itself still remains great. I find TF2Classic is a better way to play. But the gay of the TF2 community obviously is there as well.

I knew there was a recent remaster I was forgetting.

I have some more basic earnest ones like:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Yoshi's Island
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

However, I have a real wildcard answer and hear me out: Hotel Mario.
Everyone has almost certainly heard the main theme for it's reverence in meme culture, but if you haven't heard the whole soundtrack it's actually really diverse and somehow always manages to do something unique including all the primary hotel themes having at least one variation which often really change up how they sound. It really is one of the games OSTs I can pop on in full without a dud among them for me personally.

In a somewhat similar vein I also really like the Shadowgate OST, though I think it has the weakest case amongst the other games I've mentioned. Also, it's where the Gaming in the Clinton Years theme originates.
