Ralph, Rekieta, Fuentes, Weeb Wars, and the Sector

I didn't like how scattered the Ralph subforum was, you had to jump between multiple threads to keep up with the drunk. Force them into one.
I actually liked that about Ralph because it allowed me to control what I follow. Things like the Cog or Randbot thread I would skip because I don't care about those retards, but the Vickers, Twitter and Defendant threads I'd be sure to follow.

As opposed to the DSP board where 90% of the content is in the main thread. If I only check Kiwifarms once a day or once every 2 days, it moves way too fast and I inevitably miss a lot because I don't have the time to go through 16 pages.

I’m pro-sub-subforum. Sektur in Internet Famous.

I like this option the best. It'll preserve the threads of the Ralph / Killstream board, any other solution it seems like there'd have to be sloppy merges or a lot of dropped threads.

Ralph is most likely going to relapse so I say leave his board untouched for another few months.
Weeb Wars is dead. Lock all the dead shit and put a single thread in community watch.
Cozy tv can also go to Community Watch. Fuentes can move to Beauty Parlour since he's such a flamboyant faggot.

I am taking suggestions
What I'm missing in this synopsis is Juju the cow. Almost all cows mentioned here are orbiting or are somewhat related to him. That being said I understand not wanting to create another single-cow centric subforum

Speaking of DSP, does he really need his own place outside of Internet Famous? I know there are some pretty dedicated people to hating/following him, but others that have their own board usually have a lot of other side characters. This is an honest question as it’s hard for me to judge how active that place actually is— and I’ve also just not heard nearly anything about him in probably over a year.

I'd like to ask that the Ethan Ralph general thread is opened back up. Or maybe a new one is made? That place was fun to post in. The moment the general was locked and his area was split into threads I lost interest in posting.

we do need to merge a few subthreads in the ralph thread
but its hard to keep up with vickers retardartation if we merge it all into one single ralph thread.
we need to decide which subthreads in the ralph thread are redundant and dont need to exist, then merge those

Another potential is to rotate out cows. Dump the subforums for Fuentes, ER, Weeb. Under the Featured Content box you could add a Featured Cows for the ones currently causing the most shit and link out to their OP thread. That way it still is on the front page but not its own area. Yes, it will slightly coincide with Featured Content, but that seems to be updated more than the Cows one could be.

I don't think it would completely solve the issue but I'd personally split Internet famous on two and sort cows accordingly; one for people on more current platforms like Youtube and Tiktok who cover more current topics/controversies, and other for culture war/internet uncles/has-beens or cows covering old feuds few people remember or really care about, or people cornered on weird platforms for whatever reason. For names I'd keep the first as Internet Famous and the second as something as "Internet Veteran Affairs".

I think that the one thing that joins them all are they are essentially "Internet Uncles" for lost boys who didn't have positive male role models. It's reminiscent of a Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Rekieta - Cool lawyer uncle who starts the night talking about how important constitutional protections are... and then ends the night saying that all laws should be abolished and fascists should be shot (then drunk drives home lmao).
  • Nick - The funny, subtly racist uncle who pisses off your aunt with his "pro-America" politics. Also, is totally not gay but is somehow unmarried and brought his "roommate" over for dinner.
  • Ralph - The stupid uncle who got belligerently drunk watching football in the basement
Maybe create a new board called "Internet Uncles" (or "Lost Boys Heroes" to be gender inclusive) and it could include other people like Jordan Peterson, Metokur, and Shoe
If this was the plan moving foward, would this be the home of BuildingTheRealm (BTR) once we get the thread out of PG? He is loosely related to Ralph and Fuentes...

What about a sub-board of Internet Famous that focuses on e-celebs who's careers are stagnating/circling the drain as a consequence of/in addition to being deplatformed? You could call it something like 'The De-list'. Or is that too narrow in scope?

or

Given that Ralph seems to be the common denominator between all the parties involved, why not roll all the relevant threads into the Gunt board and rebrand it into a sort of Internet Blood Sports/Killstream Extended Universe-themed board? Potential names: 'The IBS Ward', 'The Koliseum', 'The Ethan Ralph Vortex of Failure'

Sorry but I really, really hate any idea for a "Culture Wars" board:
  1. What makes the Sector interesting to people is the personal and interpersonal drama of everyone involved, not the substance of what they say,
  2. The said interpersonal drama is what links the Sector together,
  3. Any "Culture Wars" board would be impossible to disambiguate with "Internet Famous" and attract people who derail threads with unironic political arguments, and
  4. The Sector people have wildly diverging views on the "Culture Wars" at this point, and any criteria for a "Culture Wars" board which includes them would be so broad as to include basically anyone from Internet Famous.
    • Ralph still unironically refers to himself as a "GamerGate OG".
    • Rekieta gained tons of clout in the 2019-21 period through Weeb Wars and Comicsgate, but isn't really known for that anymore,
    • Dick has taken an anti-"Culture Wars" perspective.
A Sector subforum seems like a better idea for the reasons people have already said:
I believe "the sektur" should be its own separate forum. The sektur, as I see it, consists of three big lolcows.
1) Ralph
2) Rekieta
3) Dick Masterson
All their orbiters and the people in this community would fall into this subforum. The Warski, PPP and Kino Casino threads would also be included in this. So would Drexel's thread and Vito's thread.
I'd stick to folding catboys, ralph and a few specific internet famous threads into a unified 'Sektur' board. All the recurring characters in the sektur have a lot of overlap with each other but not much overlap with anyone else.
The only thing is that it's unclear how much the Catboy forum has to do with the rest now that Ralph isn't on Cozy.

Comicsgate is basically Ethan Van Sciver at this point. One way or the other, it ends up being a fan or drama forum for him. Its a small inbred movement about promoting a narrow selection of indy comics made by a few people.
Comicsgate is as dead as Weeb Wars. The thread was made in Jan 2018, it has 2123 pages and only a little over 100 of them are from the past year, with the majority being more than three years old.

The only difference between CG and WW is that WW collapsed spectacularly when Ty Beard submitted critical but improperly notarized affidavits too late to correct them, whereas my very vague impression of CG is that it has imploded slower as EVS has appointed himself king of CG and slowly purged people who don't stroke his ego enough, and he has gone from being the big fish in the small pond to basically the only fish in the pond.

Weeb Wars should be turned into a more general fandom related drama board. (games, anime, manga, comics etc.) or an anime and manga board containing both their drama and discussion. As it is now, there isn't a really good place to post or talk about specific anime stuff, let alone document anything in an easily searchable or findable way.

I know anime hasn't really (yet?) had it's "gamers are over" or general gamer gate/comics gate moment but the pieces are in place and there is continual drama as SJ types try to bring the fandom and industry under their influence.

An even more general culture wars board would also work. At least in a "happenings" style format.

I don't feel right speaking up on the rest because of low exposure to either of them.

The subforum was made as a containment back when the SOK were still a big deal. Now it's lucky if anything other than the general thread gets a single post in a given day. The few stray side threads they have could easily be consolidated into the main thread or sent to spergatory. The good thing about spergatory is the threads aren't "lost," but moved away now that they're collecting dust.

I think it's a better idea to split the boards up. Nick is a turbo faggot along with the rest of AF. Ralph should be kept track of still because he showed his retardation, he should be tracked still to see if any more retarded shit comes out of the Ralphaverse.

What EVS did or didn't do is of less importance than the fact that today its more of a mud puddle than a pond. As you showed through the statistics, its hardly even used anymore. Like comicsgate itself, its become a small and insignificant thing that doesn't deserve a thread. Its always been an odd thing on the farms because its mostly a place where comicsgate talks to itself and almost never generates any content of general interest.

Can we categorize all users and threads by weight and/or Religious heritage? I began a personal list of Jewish users during the Israel v Palestine 2023 thread and referencing it often has immensely improved my site experience. I know the Death Fats board exists but there are several over 30 BMI users and lolcows excluded from it. Music Biz Marty is a prime example of my system as he is morbidly obese, Jewish and is heavily involved in the Fat Girl sphere but is not in the sub board. I don't hate these people, I would just prefer not to share a drinking fountain with them. Perhaps Null could create a badge, similar to the pink triangle, that is a slice of pizza for users who can't stop eating. Just spitballing here, great thread OP.

Edit: Think of it as an internal Coincidence Detector

Nick got his notoriety through the knife incident on IBS. He's given the gunt and fed alaska full-throated defenses for over a year and that's only in the cozy era. He's personally picked fights with Ralph, Jim, pegmenco, rackets, and I still think the sektur swatter was so prolific, there were so many swattings, so many of them were targeted specifically at people he and ralph didn't like, that some of the ones attributed to torswats were actually carried out by catboys on his orders.

Nick is already part of the sektur by his own merits and him being part of it makes all of AF part of it as well.
