Black Friday used to be special in Burgerland. Rampant consumerism turned into literal bloodbaths and people fighting over mediocre discounts and it was a glorious time. Fuck Amazon.

I miss them every year. Except once when a friend wanted a computer that was on sale, so I drove her down to the Wommart, stood back, and enjoyed the chaos. Some random lady mistook me for her daughter and passed off three portable DVD players to me in a rush telling me to put them in our cart. I kept one, and put the other two in a random nearby cart. It held a charge for forty minutes, but at least it was only $15.

reminds me of the first year me and my husband were together, we drove to the local walmart, just to only look at the deals, then we saw a halirious moment come out. A guy ran with a TV without paying for it and the alarm beeped off, the guard came in and beat his ass till he fell and the guy was crying and trying to give him a TV while the guard was still beating his ass.

It made me really wish I brung my phone that day, it was so fucking funny.

what i really miss is going to stores the day after black friday and seeing the wreckage. shelves tipped over countless ripped open boxes and things just thrown everywhere. it really was a different time. i will say however i hate black friday traffic fuck that shit.
