The same narrow Republican majority that gave the Freedom Caucus their power can be used to step around their plans if push comes to shove 8-10 Republicans looking to not run for reelection is all you really need to make a deal with the Democrats.

Some have already signaled they may be interested in a bipartisan deal but we'll see if that goes anywhere.

That would be throwing the Uniparty mask off completely, and be very risky. I could see them doing it, but it would probably be even too far for the Progessive Left to put up with considering they loathe McCarthy and the Neo-cons for even negotiating with the Freedom Caucus in January, and Maga is already on the RINO hate train, but it would ensure that any negotiating would be nearly impossible.

Mind you I'm not saying this is bad; the Uniparty being upfront about its existence for once would be fantastic, and the after effects of a blatently obvious Uniparty speaker being elected would be hilarious. The sheer cope that would go on after would be amazing from all sides, and it might cause more gridlock despite the Uniparty win. But all of this relys on the Uniparty being open about its existence to everyone publicly, which I'm not sure they'll do since it would risk how much money they'll make though pork. We'll probably just get a repeat of January with Jim Jorden, Scalise, or someone similar getting the seat after a bunch of negotiating. It'll still be funny to see how long it takes though.

I'm of the opinion that the GOP brand is permanently soiled and it would be swifter if the GOP died on donor hill, allowing a proper populist right party to swiftly rise.
