I get that he was trying to be funny but I found it extremely off-putting for an officer of the court to be making a lame joke about how funny it would be if he used his knowledge to entertain himself regardless of whether justice was being served.

lets put our cards on the table, rekieta's show/content was always a low tier 90s howard stern wantabe, originally sanitized for to a trad audience but now full boomer coomer cringe. if this were the 2000s and he had been given a national radio show, he would have been canceled within 3 months due to low ratings. he as witty retorts and some charisma but so do millions of other radio host in the nation. tbh, rekieta would be in the below average ranking of all radio hosts.

here is a critique of his actual content and him as a talk show host:

• lingers on jokes to long. when you do enough shows, you know when a joke lands and when it doesn't. even now, he still doesn't know.
• interrupts flow of conversation with a stupid joke. this always kills the momentum of a good thought by the guest.
• does not prepare for interviews. see the rittenhouse interview.
• does not ask insightful questions during interviews. it is all basic questions. specifically for guest who do the media blitz to promote a book or other projects, those guess get asked the same questions over and over again. this is where you are supposed to ask a question that no one asked (this goes back to show prep).
• comes drunk to the show. i know that is rekieta's gimmick, but when you start to slur your words, it is bad content. unless your intention is for the audience to laugh at you.
• basic boomer takes. during his "trad dad christian" gimmick, he had basic republican takes mix with internet memes. now, he had basic republican takes mix with old man degeneracy.

off the top of my head, i can think of 3 shows that i generally thought was good.

• this interview with nerdrodic. rekieta asked basic question to nerdrodic about his past drug use and his incarceration. that was generally insightful about gary (nerdrodic). but i realized, there was no other show that asked gary about his drug/prison past. so i can give rekieta credit for doing the bare minimum of questions because everyone else, who interview gary, failed at doing the bare minimum.
• the rekieta/drexel interview with a cuck. they let him tell his story and did not interrupt him, for the most part. i think the reason for the least amount of interruptions is because they were interested in the subject matter. or, as we know now, comparing notes with the cuck to better hide from his trad audience (this interview was pre mask-off coomer).
• the russell greer shows with siracha. reading the lawsuit and russell's own book, by yourself, is entertaining enough. siracha was a good co-host.

if rekieta disciplined himself, had a work ethic, and honed in on his craft, he can add to his current traits and be a better content creator. but he is not, and what we get is this wantabe howard stern. his popularity came from being a lawyer to explain basic lawsuit filings to an trad internet audience that was alienated from the rest of the leftwing media.
