Could very well be. There's men that those tactics don't work on as well, but I think it is more of a core male instinct to be more responsive to it. I'd argue that we need more judges like Judy overall since she's realistic and to the point but is still empathetic. She worked in child courts long before she did small claims on TV.

This was my takeaway as well. He thought that he was at least in control of his life the entire time, that he was getting away with the murders because of his cunning or whatever, but in fact his existence is inelastic and he really doesn't have the freedom to change his situation, or control people's perceptions of him.
