❄️ Snowflake Jack Monroe / Melissa "Mel" Hadjicostas / Jack Xatzinikolas / @BootstrapCook - Spaghetti hoop rinser who wants to live like Common People, the face of poverty in Britain, literally can't lie

It’s just so weird that she is so insistent on keeping up the larp, when there definitely could have been a way to pivot from the poverty she was claiming to be in, to being successful from having the book etc. without trying to still claim to be broke now, which makes zero sense to ANYONE with a brain.

There would have been a way to work with a PR team she could have afforded with the money she made off her writing, to work out the best way to move into ‘not being poor’ but still being a campaigner for the cause and giving advice, obviously by being heavily involved in charity work.
It didn’t mean she has to pretend to have no money for the rest of her entire life, when she has had book deals and speaking gigs and Patreon FFS.

Then she could have had pride in posting a photo on her social media with a nice watch, saying something genuine about how poor she had been, and how she never thought she would own something like this, an investment piece to pass to her son, and that she matched the price with a donation to a food bank charity, something nice she bought herself with the proceeds of her first book.
People would understand stuff like that, but instead she posts pics pretending she can’t afford boxed hairdye, which comes off as thinking we are all stupid.

The fraus are never fucking happy. They spend literally years hand-wringing about Jack getting away with her various scams but then someone comes along and takes action and actually getting somewhere with it and they’re still whinging that it’s not good enough.
Have you noticed with tattle as well? They really are mean spiteful bitches. They focus on ridiculous nonsense like a person's appearence, not stuff like how one of the subjects of their ire is harming a kid, or whatever? They absolutely have skewed priorities.

And their policy on getting a telling over voicing a bad and no no naughty opinion is you're not allowed any form of rebuttal, or to ever refer to the incident in comments at all ever. Really weird place.

They're a weird bunch.

Sounds a lot like normal bitchy female behaviour to me.

It's convergent evolution. KiwiFarms and Tattle have a lot of outward similarities, but this site got here from laughing at an autistic manchild on the internet and they got there by evolving out of gossip magazines. It's a big reason why the board culture is so different and the Tattle crowd will frequently pepper in vast amounts of personal anecdotes in their comments.

Her twitter is protected, anything interesting going on there?
Not really. Last tweet was from a couple of days ago saying she donated the money for the non court case to her local food bank and that her agent and several journalists apparently have the receipts.

But this is a regular stop on her cycle. She swears off twitter for her "mentals" and when she returns hopes it's all blown over. She may pop up in the near future with a palate cleanser of a dog picture or a poll but we'll see

What are the canal boat or whatever they’re called talking about during this down period? Oh wait, still post multiple 50+ page threads a week going off topic, powrlevelling, getting MATI over small inconsistencies and rehashing old news

I do appreciate that their a-loggy ways have gave us some funny Jack adjacent phrases and the more FORENSIC (see…?) in the Tattle community have pointed out very clear and consistent lies. :heart-full:

Gengar would know more about this than me, but apparently she unlocked her account very briefly (testing the waters, I'd say) and then re-locked it when she discovered that people have not forgotten the most recent scam. This screenshot is doing the rounds:

Of course, this sum is an outrageous underestimation of how much would have gone to her Pay Pal for the Lee Anderson thing over the entire period - the Guardian even wrote an article about it, for God's sake (although it doesn't mention the fact that she is soliciting donations, it would still have generated quite a bit of traffic for her social media accounts and blog; Guardian readers (yuk) hate Lee Anderson-types). I'd like to know how she calculated this paltry sum: she claimed not to know which donations were for the court case (when it suited her) but also claimed to have a spreadsheet of funds incoming (when it suited her). People on twitter are also pointing out that there is no date on the screenshot she provided and that, if it is her 'local foodbank,' why the need to redact the specifics?

Does the screenshot she's displaying actually have her name on it?
Otherwise that money could have been donated by anyone..
Also, she is saying that she
added to the amount 'to be on the safe side' but if that was in any way true, wouldn't she have simply made it £1,400?

I get that. I do like the term "grunking" and I think it's a good 'un. Oh and any mention of hoop rinsing or slops, hahah.

I'm not sure what platform that even is, re: the screencap of her "donation". Is it internet banking, or something related to FaceBook? I'm genuinely not sure but any genuine charity soliciting donations would provide their current account details fro direct transfer, if she asked, so they're sure to get 100% f whatever was donated.

I call shennanigans, I don't believe for a second she's donated anything to any organisation.

No it doesn't, which is something they're pointing out on twitter along with the absence of any date. And very good point about the amount, in light of the claim that she added extra - she's been forced by social media pressure to make donations in the past (eg the Teemill fiasco) and my bet is on that screenshot having something to do with one of those instances.
She’s sober and happy guis xx
This suicide-baiting she pulls out every time she's held to even the slightest standard of accountability is extremely frustrating. I can't believe the 'comments club' don't see through it.

Then again, I do see why:

Very dumb Jack. This was a great opportunity to "relapse" and come out the other side with a new media cycle, expertise, social justice shielding, harassment opportunities, fundraising opportunities, "I'm fighting so hard for my kid", "these bullies are trying to deny them a mother", etc.

It's a PayPal donation receipt to the Southend Vineyard (https://www.southendvineyard.org.uk/) which is a church, not a food bank.
