Pittsburgh Steelers
Brown was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Things went well for him for the first few seasons, with many achievements and little to no drama prior to the 2016 season. The only major incident in the 2015-16 season was a concussion he received in a Wild Card game from Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. I bring this up because some believe this incident is what changed AB for the worse.AB started the 2016 season by getting fined for twerking and wearing baby blue cleats. He received a second fine in Week 4 for similar behavior. The biggest incident occurred in the Divisional Round, when AB thought it would be a good idea to broadcast the team's locker room celebration on Facebook Live, embarrassing his teammates and coach.
2017 was when AB started to have tantrums over not getting the ball enough, one of which involved throwing a cooler and yelling at coaches. 2018, however, was when the drama kicked into high gear. In April of 2018, when he thought his Florida condo was burglarized, he threw furniture off a 14th-floor balcony, nearly hitting a toddler in the process.
Brown kicked off the 2018 season by entering training camp via helicopter. He threatened a reporter on Twitter for not kissing his ass enough. He was sued in October for the furniture incident, was caught speeding on McKnight Road near Pittsburgh in November, and left practices after an argument with QB Ben Roethlisberger, causing him to be benched in Week 17. After the season, he demanded a trade, resulting in him going to the Oakland Raiders (he almost got traded to the Buffalo Bills, but he refused to play there). He also gave himself the nickname "Mr. Big Chest," in case you're wondering why that alias is in the title.
Oakland Raiders
Antonio squandered his chances with the Raiders from Day 1. He missed most of training camp due to fucking up cryotherapy by not following safety protocol. Then the NFL banned his favorite helmet, leading to a tantum and fines. He responded to the fines by posting the letter he received on Instagram, calling GM Mike Mayock a cracker, and punting a football and saying "Fine me for that." Not only did they do that, they voided his guaranteed $30 million, leading to AB demanding his release. All of this happened without AB playing a single game for the Raiders.New England Patriots/New Orleans Saints
In a classic case of falling upwards, Antonio Brown was then signed by the New England Patriots, and even managed to play a game with them. However, his tenure with the Patriots was cut short due to two sexual assault allegations. The first one's statute of limitations had expired, but AB thought it would be wise to respond to the second allegation by organizing a harassment campaign against the accuser via group text:Naturally, the Patriots released him after this. Not all hope was lost for AB, though, as the New Orleans Saints offered him a tryout and were willing to sign him if he did well. There was just one condition: AB was not to bring his entourage to the tryout. I think you all know what he did. Afterwards, AB accused the Saints of pulling a publicity stunt.
2020
After all the drama of 2019, you'd think AB's 2020 resolution would be to chill out. Instead, he decided he needed to swear off white women.He even made "No White Woman 2020" the name of his first rap album, and promptly broke his resolution by releasing a music video filled with white women.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Despite his suspension, one team was willing to sign Antonio Brown: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, the same team that had just gotten superstar quarterback Tom Brady. Things seemed fine at first, with the Bucs winning the Super Bowl. In the 2021 season, however, things took a turn. AB was caught faking a COVID vaccination card - despite the NFL not requiring vaccinations - and a former live-in chef accused him of owing money. The nadir was in the Week 17 game against the New York Jets, when this happened:The Buccaneers released him the next day. This is how Antonio Brown ended his NFL career: by stripping and flouncing in the middle of a game.
Albany Empire
Not much happened for the rest of 2022 aside from AB releasing his second rap album and an arrest warrant. Fortunately for us, 2023 brought us a cavalcade of lolz with Brown's purchase of the Albany Empire. AB's father, Eddie Brown, was a star player on an arena football team known as the Albany Firebirds. To honor his dad, AB became majority owner of their NAL replacement and made Eddie GM. He then fired head coach Tom Menas, even though the Albany Empire were two-time champions under his reign. It only got worse from there. Players and coaches were fired willy-nilly- AB even brought back Menas, only to let him go again- leading to discord among teammates and blowouts on the field. AB promised to play in a game, but that never happened. Players, coaches, and hotels weren't getting paid, the latter of which resulted in AB getting kicked out of a Holiday Inn Express:The final straw, however, was the failure to pay league dues. AB managed to make the April payment, only to challenge it afterward. After that, he skipped the May payment. When the June payment didn't come in, the NAL finally had enough and kicked the Albany Empire out of the league. All of this happened in less than four months.
