Colin, thrash metal is not very feminine. Metal as an overarching genre is not populated with a lot of female musicians. The subgenres have even fewer women.

I feel like thrash metal is not going to be a big draw to women, even as fans. I don't have any stats on this, but I feel like women are going to be drawn more to the more melodic subgenres, like symphonic metal (Sonata Arctica, Nightwish (Nightwish does feature a female on lead vocals, they can be very operatic)), again mostly as fans.

The only female guitarist I know of is Nita Strauss. I know there are more, but my point stands: metal is not known for attracting female musicians.

Trans men (females) like Barbie because they were raised with it and she is still seen as girlpower and as a gay symbol for Ken. Not go in an offtopic discussion but i strongly disagree. There are many many female fronted metal bands and females playing instruments, even many full female bands like Nemesis. while i agree they tend to be in the more melodic metal genres like, gothic metal, black metal, death metal, while speed, thrash heavy metal are more dominated by males.
