Crystal Pepsi returns to stores August 8th.

Anyone remember Orbitz? Those fruit drinks with the little floaty balls in them? That's another 90's drink I'd love to see on the market again.
It was like a lava lamp you could drink! The bottle was even shaped like a lava lamp.

And if we're resurrecting dead beverages, Kool-Aid needs to bring back Purplesaurus Rex.

People were just weirded out by it, though. It might fly now that more people in the West have had bubble tea.

It was an awesome drink. Then again, I like weird, kooky stuff like that. But I loved the flavor and the texture. It was always fun to catch the little floaties and squish them with my tongue.

How is '93 not part of "the 90's"? It definitely isn't part of the 80's like people keep claiming.
I've always looked at the first two or three years of a decade as being transitional. For example, blues and psychedelic rock were still popular in the early 70s, and disco in the early 80s. The only exception seemed like the early-2000s because of the whole "New Millenium" hype. Crystal Pepsi was released from 1992 to 1993, with withdrawal from the market months later by the time the 90s were in full force.

Surge was definitely the poster child for a 90s fad drink, and is especially evident by the marketing from its revival. Don't be surprised if Vault or Red Fusion come back in the future, but by that time Surge and Crystal Pepsi will be gone again, and Coke still won't have sorted out the Mr. Pibb/Pibb Xtra confusion.

I miss Surge. I'd love to see that come back. I've heard it's been available in limited runs in certain parts of the country, but not where I live from what I've seen.

That's gay and unrealistic. They were in full force as soon as the date started with 199.

It's not like that happens gradually. Just like you're not a little bit dead or slightly pregnant.

^Right, because somebody had a crystal ball and envisioned Crystal Pepsi on the morning of January 1, 1990. Trends tend to be spontaneous or evolutionary, and there's a degree of risk and time involved when committing to something. Pepsi learned the former the hard way, as nobody predicted a trendsetter like mass market bottled water, which made the "clear and pure" trend Pepsi bet on irreverent.

Now watch as they bring back Zima.

That stuff was utter shit and made wine coolers look hardcore.

Though I wouldn't mind Jolt.

Supposedly it is still being made but I haven't seen it around in years. The last I saw was those cans with caps, and apparently, some dipshit legal dispute with the company that made those cans bankrupted the company.

It's already arrived last week in Canada. My friends and I were so confused when we saw it on the shelves.

The amount of sugar in it per bottle is pretty crazy. Most bottles of soft drinks have 40 grams or so, but this stuff's got at least 63. It's like first aid for a diabetic that's dying of hunger!

I gladly look forward to my incoming diabetes. Aside Cheerwine only soda I ever liked.

Is Cheerwine even sold outside of the Upper South? I only ever see it that Virginia/North Carolina coastal plains corridor.
