Glancing at my feed Venus is making up on lost time and Margo being unable to do anything about the channel by firing out at least a video a day and today there are two.

She seems to have gone back to some of the cutsey stuff to try and get the views up. Her general views do appear to have suffered from her bans which will hit her bottom line fairly hard, but her sub count seems to be up so here's hoping.

She's also posting a video EVERY DAY for now, which means the same people are meant to be watching every video instead of re-watching the weekly video and waiting for the next one. I can't tell if she's just excited and getting rid of her video backlog, or if Fullscreen's put pressure for her to get earning after so many months (and probably a lot of their in-house lawyer's time.)
 
still though every cent Venus earns from here on out is her's to keep. she will definitely suffer from some losses for a while. but the genuine happy energy will help draw in a new crowd and of course the Margo spitters will help a bit.
 
Margo made a 19 minute long, "ASMR" video of her painting blindfolded while drunk. She's trying to sell the painting for $40 on her website. I can't be arsed to watch the whole thing because her voice is so grating, but note that she's wearing the raincoat she got from her discount Chinese airline trip, and is using a Hello Kitty bedspread as her background. How much you wanna bet Hot Pinky is missing a bedspread? People are not impressed.

"I have no friends because Venoos bully, you are Venoos, etc". The only new info here is that Margo speaks to her mother frequently - I wonder how this affects Margot and Ferenc's marriage. Margo makes her ire against her father and Zsu clear in that they're part of some money-stealing conspiracy against her by being caring of Venus's well being. Also, Zsu deleted everything personal off of her instagram; her new bio is very sad. She says she loves Venus, and is bereft that Margo hates her so much (Zsu said she still loves Margo anyway.) Sounds like Margo laid some heavy shit on Zsu behind the scenes, and Zsu is retreating. I didn't capture Zsu's bio in accordance with her wish to step back from the situation.

Mags is definitely on the bottle - and she's got a new sock, 'swiggi07' whom she's having a lovely convo with. Also, she's drunk flirting with azlabyrinth and complimenting herself on being "frighteningly intelligent."

Swiggi knows Margo was SUCH a good mother, is SO interesting, should do more travelling OF COURSE, people are just so judgmental, and that Venoos is hiding something, but also one dimensional and boring, unlike the beautiful Margo.

There's zero chance this minor youtube dude is flying from Ireland to Tokyo to interview a batshit crazy river kappa; that shit can be done on Skype for free, and neither of them has money. As to whether Margo is back in Japan - don't know. I haven't made any updates here for a week because Margo hasn't chimped out, and she's been extremely cagy about her location. She seems to WANT people to think she's in Japan pretty badly - she's been posting a couple photos of herself in Japan, but they could have easily been taken on her last trip (the beach they're shot at is near a JR station she went through on her manic train trip through Japan.)

However, Margo also posted a photo of herself with a young ballroom dancer on a plane a few days ago, and tagged it #moscow. From his competitive dance schedule, we know he was in Japan July 9-11. He was coming from London and had a layover in Moscow at some point on his trip. So Margo was on a plane next to this kid at some point in the past week or so but she could have been on one leg of the trip - from London, with a layover in Moscow, then back to South Korea. She could have gone on to Japan. And, lastly - the kid lives in Slovenia, and the plane could have been taking them both back to locations in eastern Europe.

Basically: no one knows where Mags is for sure, and the speculation is incredibly convoluted at this point. She was on a plane somewhere, and she really wants us to think that somewhere is Japan, but isn't posting very much showing she's in Japan.

Venus dropped off social media again abruptly a few days ago after promising to post a video every day. She was having an issue with her laptop which she said was delaying a video, but that was 3 days ago.

We just have to wait and see; Margo tends to go quiet when she's planning some big fuckup for Venus, and she's been very, very quiet.

Is it possible that Margo is recovering from a terrible bender? From keeping up with this thread, drugs or alcohol seem to be "firepoint" to some of her chimpouts.

Anything's possible. But usually her silence means she's cooking up some form of crazy that she's extremely proud of.
 
Well, in good news, Venus got her new video up earlier today.


And the last thing (at least that I can see) posted from Maggot was from 3 days ago claiming she was at the beach with "friends"

we have received a report in Moderation concerning this thread. The feeling amongst staff is that the report is so well put together it is worth repeating in full here:

Basically, the thread is being shitted up by things that would be considered off topic or possibly even white knighting in other threads.
It's common for people to discuss how much they like Venus, who isn't the subject of the thread, and to post links to videos and discuss her content out of enjoyment when it has no relevance to her mother.

In any other lolcow thread the talk about how great Venus is, how much they like her videos, asking other users to go and support her and posting the videos themselves for the sake of saying 'look at this cute new video' would be off topic, right?
I don't give any fucks if people love Venus and enjoy her content, but I feel like that should be discussed on an off topic thread rather than taking up space in the Margaret thread.


It really does feel like this thread has a slightly different set of rules to other threads and people get away with what would be considered white knighting and off topic content on other threads. I want to emphasise that I don't want to get Everything Is Chemicals in 'trouble' (if whoever gets this report even considers my report to have any validity). I just want it to be modded to the same standard as other threads.

Another issue with this thread is that people are actively white knighting Venus, as in saying 'please go and support Venus/watch her videos/go and report Margot'. That's one of the few things we have a solid rule against, right? This is one of those posts, but there have been a couple of others:

I really do understand her strong empathy for Venus but it's not as if Venus is underage, or it's our duty as a community to help her out. She's an adult woman with a husband and a reliable source of income so it seems a bit excessive to be suggesting we help her out on KF .

I've been extremely reluctant to report this shit because as I've said before, I do not want to single out Everything Is Chemicals or get her in trouble. I feel like a total shithead doing this but she's the prime example of the white knighting and off topic content that's prevalent in this thread. I was hoping mods might notice and step in without me needing to bring it to anyone's attention, but I do understand it's not a particularly popular lolcow thread and mods can't magically know about shit without users reporting it.

It's possible whoever gets this report will dismiss this and say it doesn't fall under off topic discussion or white knighting. I'm just hoping that if it does it will result in a post being made by a mod on the thread outlining what is and isn't acceptable rather than any one user being punished.

the unique circumstances of this thread, with the shift from venus to her mother and the fact that it receives comparatively little attention from staff have, as the report outlines led to some confusion and fairly lax practices.

going forward I we will tighten the focus a little more. Discussion in this thread should revolve around the mother's behaviour- videos of venus that do not feature her or content generally from venus not the mother is off topic.

I am aware there are users who have become fans of venus, while i personally don't get it, i understand there is a desire to talk about her. A thread in Multimedia would be the appropriate place for this.

if you have a question about a piece of content and its relevance you can pm a member of staff, make a tts thread or report the post.
