- Video editing/multimedia is a highly competitive field, a lot of people get that kind of degree but don't do anything with it, it also requires connections, which Earl Dubious is probably not very good at obtaining, due to being a retard.
- A lot of people go to college (at least in the US) who are not the brightest, because they have money, or take on an enormous amount of debt. It is impressed on most high schoolers that a college degree is required to be "successful". Keep in mind that even Chris Chan has a degree.

Earl is beyond inept at reading social cues and believes that he is popular at work even after his colleagues would outright tell him to leave and go home. One day he reaches for a girl's shoulder but grabs her chest "by accident" when she turns around. After an investigation, Earl is shocked to learn that all the women he thought he was popular with found him creepy all along. He sees this as some kind of betrayal and seems more annoyed by this than concerned over traumatizing a girl.
He maintains that it was an accident, but the choice of words throughout the post are revealing.

I'm not sure if Earl is simply too retarded to understand how much this shows he's completely unapologetic he is over what he does, or if he just doesn't care. He constantly cowers behind the statement "I apologized leave me alone" But every apology he's made is clearly insincere.
Whether it be an desperate apology for acting weird with a 17 year old to get people off his back, or his continual use of apologizing for groping his co-worker, which he uses to gloat. You can't gloat over an apology Earl, it just shows that it's false, and that you have no shame or remorse for what you did. Even in this video he smugly gloats to the 'trolls' about how "apologizing to her brother took balls", it's obvious he doesn't give a shit, and would do it again. I doubt these apologies even happened.
Then there's the way he minimizes hosting porn to kids, with his classic "it's not illegal, it's socially unacceptable". This reminds me of the smug line-toeing of Jonathan Ross and Nick Bate. Every time he gloats about how he's not been arrested for this, I just think back to Ross saying "It's not illegal to look up kids in the bathtub". Sexual predators try not to be smug, intolerable retards challenge (impossible).
