Am I the only one who thinks both RavenClaw and HufflePuff didn't get the exposure they deserved in earlier movies? Maybe it's been a while and I just don't REMEMBER seeing much of them outside of cameo's.

Not exactly true. JK Rowling has mentioned Hufflepuff to have a special place in her heart despite being a Gryffindor.

I just watched the first two movies because my little cousin wanted to see them. In the few scenes where they do appear, they actually fuck up the house colors for Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. They made Ravenclaw blue and white, and Hufflepuff is just purple. I mean I guess I can see why they'd do that, since those two houses aren't really described that much in the first two books, but like weren't they in contact with Rowling the entire time they were making it?

The cool thing about Hufflepuff though is everyone thinks we're wimps -- until you piss us off. Then watch out. (And like I said, badgers are pretty badass animals. Any animal that eats poisonous snakes is a creature you don't wanna fuck with)
