Someone should show Jordan the video of herself walking. I could barely watch the 5 seconds of footage. It was gross on a visceral level. Having that on screen for two hours would have made The Whale a very different movie.
My favorite part of that video tho was her saying “sometimes I ask them to put it together but teehee, nah, they don’t really understand” as if this clever hack of the menu is so ingenious as to be understood by only the most IN THE KNOW of the diners. Having to slap that shit together yourself is just a consequence of this passport to Flavortown, y’all.
As a true and honest celiac, may I just say that hack is not gluten free. A slab of oily meat and “eggs” and “cheese” (I guess? What the fuck is a #25 and how are there at least 25 fucking combos?) slapped between two greasy potato cakes has its place, but not if you’re avoiding gluten. McDonald’s shares their fryers with the rest of their shit, including their fries, which are not gluten free. Their griddle cooks items, with the same spatula, which are not gluten free. That 13 year old immigrant putting together your “breakfast” order at 10:59am is not changing gloves from grabbing biscuits to grabbing your hash browns. “But tee hee, I can have a little gluten!” is not a thing. You either can or cannot have it. Wondering where all that oppressive inflammation comes from, that keeps this beast in bed with aches and sads? It is very possibly from eating “gluten free” shit like this breakfast, which is full of fucking gluten!
Stop virtue signaling with gluten. Anyone who needs to actually avoid it for reasons that are real, is nowhere near McDonald’s. That hack is not gluten free, but it is very fat. So way to go on that, I guess.
