🍗 Deathfat The Slaton Sisters / Amy Slaton & Tammy Slaton - The 1000 Pound Sisters

She had lung damage well before Covid. It was quite a few years ago, May 2015, when she was hospitalised with respiratory issues and Amy started the GFM to raise the cash for Tammy’s funeral expenses because she wasn’t expected to live.

Goddamn. I can't believe I've been following this shit-show for nearly a decade.

What the hell am I doing with my life?

I thought Amy and Tammy had poor taste in clothes, but seeing Brittany's get up this week makes the sisters look like fashionistas in comparison. The look on the siblings faces when Caleb mentioned Tammy having a baby of her own was priceless. No wonder they ended up questioning if the rushed wedding was because she is pregnant. Thankfully the wedding was 5 months ago and we know that Tammy was not pregnant as of a couple of weeks ago.

Could you imagine the hell spawn that would come out of tammy's moist and ammonia smelling womb? And then all through that poor goblin's childhood, tammy would sit in confessionals like "this baby is crying and its like damn, when will they ever think about MY life? When will someone FINALLY respect me? Dont I deserve respect? Damn"

The way those people are holding Glen up and letting that poor child's head flop. Poor guy probs has brain damage from positional asphyxiation.

Word from the gossip rags is that Tammy and Caleb have split after 5 months of marriage...no real surprise. Tammy is currently back in Kentucky while Caleb is still in Ohio. Supposedly he was planning to move to a facility in Kentucky and needed to find a facility his insurance would cover, but as we know the closest place Tammy could get at her weight was the Ohio facility with all the resources TLC could bring to the table.

In other "news", despite season 5 having not been announced, rumour is that TLC have forked out for a family trip to Greece to celebrate Tammy's marriage. Plans have allegedly been finalised but details not yet announced. It's all gossip at this stage.

So TLC is flying the whole Slaton clan first class to Greece? No way any of them fit in coach or even comfort plus.

How do you celebrate a marriage that broke up after just a few months?

I think the press release may have been a typo. They had to grease the sisters to get them to fit in an airline seat.... They had to "grease the sisters to fly" not "fly the sisters to Greece".

WTF is wrong with Michael? He can't even trim his fingernails and he's taking care of children?? No wonder Amy left him.

If it's any consolation, when I watch the show with Mr. Vodka and he asks questions I can pull up receipts from lurking the thread just as long as you. His answer is always "The farms?"

Meanwhile, the whole Caleb thing has been sketchy from the get go, harking back to reading it in the gossip rags. The "I do research" thing should have been an immediate red flag for anyone with two brain cells to rub together. I get that Tam Tam is desperate for a situationship, but come on, sis. If the divorce is factual, I wouldn't be surprised. But I also wouldn't be surprised if it was all for play for the camera. Caleb giving off some serious Dolly from MSHPL vibes with his facial expressions.

Did someone say Dolly from M600PL?!

I'm sorry. I can't help myself. :(

Allegedly Michael filed for divorce:

https://www.theashleysrealityroundu...ially-files-for-divorce-from-wife-amy-slaton/

It’s over for Amy Slaton and her husband Michael Halterman.

Michael officially filed for divorce from the 1000-Lb. Sisters star last week, with The Sun reporting that the filing happened on March 13. Although The Sun is reporting that Amy filed, The Ashley can confirm that it was actually Michael who filed for divorce from Amy and not the other way around.

In court documents obtained by The Ashley, Michael is listed as the Plaintiff, while Amy is named the Defendant in the filing, meaning Michael was the one to file the documents.

This comes just weeks after it was reported that Amy had moved out of the home she and Michael had shared with their two young children, sons Gage and Glenn. Amy and the boys have reportedly been living in the home of Amy’s sister Tammy Slaton.

According to court records, Amy and Michael are scheduled to meet in court on Wednesday for a motion hour (when family court business is generally handled for divorces, custody cases, etc.)

Amy recently removed nearly all the photos of Michael from her Instagram account. However, neither Amy nor Michael have mentioned the divorce publicly yet.

Both of these things are baffling. Why the hell would Amy and the kids leave the house in stead of Michael? Why is he the one filing?

Nothing makes sense with them.

I watched the most recent episode, and I was baffled about one thing... The family seemed to be claiming ownership of Tammy.

There were two points that seemed to totally escape them. First of all, if Caleb is marrying her, that means he is taking care of her, right? The family isn't responsible for her any more. No one seems to have made that point to him or Tam Tam. If they're married, they are independent, creating their own family unit. The siblings wouldn't need to worry about taking care of her any more. They're two independent adults on their own. Not to say that this particular couple is prepared for that, but the point should have been raised.

Secondly, it should have been made clear that it works both ways. If he became sick, Tammy would have to work out a way to take care of him. The family can't be expected to take on another land whale on death's door. Tammy is marrying him, not the rest of the family.

Chris's "come to Jesus" talk seems to have been derailed by the simplest of lovey-dovey platitudes. But he didn't mention practical issues at all. There needed to be ground rules set about the couple's independence. Once they're married, someone in the family might offer to help, but it's not an obligation any more. Caleb should have been put on notice that it's all on his shoulders now.

As for Amy, she is as dumb as a stick and since she shat Glenn out, she has been downright unpleasant... whiney, self centered and demanding. She took advantage of Michael earlier in their marriage, telling him what to do and bossing him around, but moving hay bales is different than being a father. She was so eager to be a mother, she didn't consider him. She thought she could just boss him around into changing diapers and getting up for 3 o clock feedings. He isn't the one who wanted the second baby so soon. I think anyone would dump Amy at this point.

“Tammy, you need to get up and change little Tommy’s diaper.”
“Well why doesn’t he change his own diaper?!”

Lol, Tammy got married in Crocs.
I mean she got married at a rehab center, Amy picked out the decor and wardrobe which Caleb didn't even fit in, they spent their wedding night on medical facility grounds in the event one of their tracs got plugged up or worse, Caleb couldn't even literally stand up to kiss his bride and you're worried about the Crocs? Honey I think there's a list and that probably doesn't even make the top three. I truly thought she was gonna fall over when SHE was the one getting out of her wheelchair to kiss him.

I gotta say despite everything I know I'm still bummed if this goes off the rails. Tam Tam has consistently been more likable than Amy over the past couple episodes. In my mind, anyway. That fucking speech. Christ. I'm hoping someone snuck a flask in their folds, because her speech was high-key retarded, even for Amy Slaton.

What the hell am I doing with my life?

Me too, man. I've been here since the beginning of the thread and it's a trip to see where they are now.

I'm glad they're divorcing. If Michael was a deadbeat inside the marriage there's no way he's going to have a lot to do with the boys' lives when they're divorced. I was legitimately concerned that given 13-year-old Michael molested 8-year-old Amy and then "dated her" until he was 18 (and then immediately cut her off so he wouldn't get in legal trouble) he would pass that shit on to his sons. Still cracks me up how much I'd see people fawning over Michael being such a sweet, supportive husband. I even saw one woman excuse his domestic assault as 'people make mistakes'. The less he has to do with the boys, the better.

I don't know if it's true about Tammy but if it is, it's very unsurprising. Unless Caleb had the patience of a saint and was an utter doormat to boot Tammy was going to turn on him sooner rather than later. She's incredibly emotionally immature, and the only reason her previous "relationships" went on longer were because they were feeders who had plenty of distance, and even then they were all constantly on and off again.

I had thought, being charitable, maybe Caleb meant he was a fan of the show and went to Tammy's rehab facility because it seemed like a good place that would be helpful for him but no, he meant he went there to be close to her. If you think about it, his crush on her makes sense. He's a fellow extreme deathfat with a tracheostomy. He's been through a lot of the same struggles as Tammy so he's going to be on her side and empathise with her problems. He's going to see her anger and frustration through a sympathetic lens. He's probably as desperate to be loved as her. But it's a whole different thing to deal with Tammy personally, in the flesh. Add to that Tammy's incredible self-centeredness and need to be catered to 24/7 and no wonder he couldn't hold it down.
