A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

Harvey, 28, was convicted in 2022 of (yet again) breaching the SHPO by having unsupervised contact with a child. At a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court in February 2023, Harvey was sentenced to three years in prison, to be served at HMP Parc (a men’s prison). A previous hearing in December 2022 had determined that Harvey’s “gender issues” would not permit a transfer to HMP Eastwood Park (a women’s prison) because the Ministry of Justice reforms in England and Wales ensure transgender women with male genitalia, or those who have been convicted of a sexual offence, will no longer be held in a women’s prison.

Harvey had been discharged from Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran in the early hours of 2 October 2022 and then repeatedly pestered and sexually harassed a 16 year old girl on the hospital premises, waiting outside the toilet for her and showing her sexualised messages, such as “Do you want to f***?” and “I love you, I want to bang you” and the contents of a bag which contained sanitary towels and a journal book which had a picture of a topless woman on the front. A concerned member of the public at the hospital called the police and Harvey was arrested at home in Crumlin – doubtless via the ankle tag fitted following previous offences that Harvey had shown to the victim.

At sentencing, Judge Nicola Saffman said: “This is your fourth breach of the order. Police have attempted significantly to support you in complying with the order whilst you were on licence. There has been an allegation you have sexually assaulted a male prisoner and been verbally abusive to prison officers.” The SHPO remains in place indefinitely.

Media coverage at WalesOnline at least managed to refer to Harvey as a transgender woman in the headline, but used female pronouns throughout. The Independent Press Standards Organisation is running a public consultation on the reporting of sex and gender identity – please submit feedback here by 10 March 2023.

Yes. He makes some really good arguments that I thought would resonate with people here. Also I think his reply video is going to get screeched about in the news now. When you see people reeee-ing about it you will have already seen it on the farms and know what they’re talking about.

I’m ok with being insulted. It’s better than being on a website where insulting someone gets you banned. But I do appreciate the kind words.
