"At least six people have been killed and several more injured after a shooting in the northern German city of Hamburg, Focus Online media reported on Thursday, citing the fire service.

Police in Hamburg tweeted that there was a major police operation in the district of Alsterdorf and they were looking at the background but gave no further details.


Early reports suggested that the shooting had occurred at a church, but there was no official confirmation.

The perpetrators were on the run, Focus reported, adding emergency services and doctors were at the scene."

Also it seems to be unclear if the gun the shooter used was his legal property or an illegal gun. Germany has laws that state you can own a gun legally though you have to jump through several hoops
 
What we know according to news outlets:

- Death count is at 8 people including the shooter
- Multiple wounded
- The service was held by Jehovas Witnesses and the shooter allegedly was an ex member
- He used a pistol
- He was probably acting alone
- No motive known so far

Wonder what they did to him to make him snap this hard

Not sure but the fact that he's between 30-40 years old makes it weirder.

If he was under 30 I would buy the whole incel feeling betrayed thing and shooting like a retard theory.

The next thing you have is the factor that he was trying to kill everyone and not just focused on the elders. If he didn't just leave on his own and was disfellowshipped you would think he would be focused on killing them specifically and not harming anyone else, maybe a few non elders but he seemed to not actually target anyone specific as far as we know.

This guy might be a case of good old fashioned mental illness.

It's entirely possible. The JWs have some practices that can be considered very cult-like, and the mentally unstable are often very susceptible to cults. If he was recruited into the JWs, or born into them, then disfellowshipped because of erratic behaviour and paranoia, he maybe lashing out at people he thinks either abandoned him and/or out to get him.

Yeah the JW's are somewhat notorious for completely ostracizing members who break away from them. If the religious group was your entire life if you leave it you are burning a bridge that will most likely never be rebuilt with people you may have known for your entire life. There is also the possibility as you mentioned that he was potentially removed for his behavior.
 
Found a video of the shooter on Twitter. Looks like he just unloaded through the window. There's another video floating around with people claiming it is a different angle but that one's fake/not from Germany.

Here's the incorrect thing however, they do not disfellowship in basis of mental illness alone, even if his behavior was off the wall.

If it was the case that he was disfellowshipped, he would have had to do something far more serious than just display erratic behavior. Unless of course they elders who disfellowshipped him were boomers who don't have much knowledge in mental illness. Unfortunately sometimes it is a case of elders but who did not handle things well.

You my sir need to grow a pair. They aren't perfect, they may do retarded things but to say they creep out is weak. We have a society that tells kids to not tell their parents about being a tranny, and you choose some overly righteous religious spergs to get creeped out by? I've said earlier I've known a few and they are just like normal people, maybe you may have only known boomer JW's but the ones I have known are millennial and Gen Z and literally they pretty much acted the same way you and I would here except maybe be more polite. These Gen Z witnesses have often complained to me that the boomer JW's are often what got them bad reputation as these were the JW's infamous for going in people's backyards.

You can read a lot of retardation from the internet but from what I've said earlier there are many fags who have intense butthurt against them. To only single out JW's for being cult like just because they have the disfellowshiping is kind of dumb when there are many other religions that have their own cult life attitudes. Some less than others sure, but still.

Then their face freezes for a split second until their brain reboots it in barely suppressed cold rage face mode. Not surprised one of them freaked out and killed a bunch of their own

One time one of them asked me if I liked reading books about Christianity. I mentioned St. Augustine's City of God, this JW's face immediately froze and he did not say a single word to me from then on until he and the other two JWs left. It was weird

From the book he wrote it seems he was a schizo wanted to start his own cult and either was mad they wouldn't accept his wacky book or thought Jesus wanted him to do a spree because the voices in his head told him to.
