I mean- Ralph was only able to live in Mexico due to the fact Mexico allows US Citizens to live and work there visa-free for 180 days- he's stated as much that he will have to eventually go back the the US temporarily once those 180 days are up. Anyhow, as for how it's all seen in Mexico, it's a bit different, in general, our immigration problems have a different nature than the US and our laws reflect that, they are more permissible and people tend to not care all that much, unless it's Central Americans then people might care depending on the state. We don't even have like a household term for anchor baby beyond a direct translation.
