These people really don't seem to understand that scene or the character in general.
It had nothing to do with the genders and everything to do with apocalypses' problem with being betrayed.
It's happened to him time and time again. He wasn't just strangling Psylocke cause she was a woman he was royally pissed and probably would of made her like melt. but then she was Mystique and it took him a moment to clue into exactly what was happening because he was so overcome with rage. In that moment the heros are able to make a move (I think I don't remember 100 percent) It was his character flaw.
I dunno just what I was thinking.
