Example: At 5'9.5"/5'10", I absolutely cannot order clothes online in a US regular-size 8-10 (although they'd best fit the torso) unless I want all the "long" blouse sleeves to fit like a 3/4-length sleeve, and mai pants to be high-waders.
It's hella easier for a tall woman to size-up and wear a slightly baggier blouse, or tailor* the pant/skirt/dress waist smaller to fit, than to add length to sleeves or pant legs.
* Anna: "Talior? lol...Who's she?"
Anna is about 5'8"-ish...she's quite a bit taller than the
worldwide standard height for women - 5'3"...so she not only has to take her world-beating hip circumference into account
(even with stores like Old Navy's plus-size, and supahplus-size stores like Torrid, with their post-2000s "vanity sizing"*)...but there's
also the issue that she should "size-up" to get a proper "length-for-fit" ratio due to her
height.
