Sorry to pull this up from a few pages back just to say something we've all said a million times before but:
Goddamn this is such a stupid argument. No wonder these idiots are so entitled.

It all boils down to: You're having a conversation that doesn't include me and I don't like that. No, it doesn't matter if it's about things that don't actually involve me or effect my life, it upsets me when I'm not included in the conversation, and when you upset me I will remind you that I am capable of, and willing to carry out, violence against myself to get my way and YOU will be held responsible.

And yes, it IS asking "too much" to include trans people in every conversation because it means wasting time and energy to consider something completely irrelevant just to stroke the ego of someone who isn't even in the room. Imagine trying to address a healthcare problem in teenagers but before you can get to the topic on hand you have to acknowledge kids (because most of them will become teenagers at some point) and adults (because all of them were teenagers once, even if they're not now) and every single time you try to say "X happens to teenagers" you have to add "And may happen as well to some kids who will survive to their teenage years, and possible happened to some people who are now adults who were once teens."
It's stupid, and for some reason we're not allowed to say out loud that the whole reason they want to be shoe horned into everyone's thoughts is for attention.

The ones I've met though, they feed off that.
They love that you have to give them extra consideration in every interaction as you fight your brain's natural instinct to call this thing that looks like a man "they" or "she". Now you HAVE to think about them, even if it's just to save your own ass from HR, when they'd be otherwise lost in a sea of co-workers. And now that being a victim is more in vogue than being strong or resilient, all the better if people find interacting with them annoying or exhausting because then they can cry about it and be rewarded for it.

I really do miss the days of being able to laugh/scoff at someone for crying over something stupid and telling them to suck it up.

I’m curious if voice training will have a long term effect on the human vocal cords.

Like most things, "it depends." If you are voice training to raise or lower your natural timbre, most people can settle into using the trained voice naturally and without conscious effort - so it basically become their "real voice." Their voice will change with age, injury, etc. though. OTOH, singers and actors training to widen their range, improve projection, etc., are actually exercising their vocal cords. Age will have substantially less effect on them as a rule, same as those people will engage in regular physical exercise tend to be better preserved body-wise. Hence when you hear these 60+ year old divas who, if you close your eyes, still sound like they did forty years earlier.
