In Kiwi.X2 Dark's searchbar, the words being typed are black on a black backround. Not illegible, but very hard to see.

No. That usually means you're invalidating your cookies by making the request. Is your URL "https://kiwifarms.net"? Are you on public wifi with a possible MitM attack?

That's a big 10-4 on the URL, Null, but a no go on the the public wifi.

I run firefox, with adblock plus and ghostery being plugins. Cookies are enabled for the site. Ghostery has just undergone an update.

Yeah, I have no idea. I know exactly what causes that but I've fixed up all the issues that could lead up to it. It typically happens when you are using HTTP and then it does an AJAX request to HTTPS, which invalidates your HTTP cookie as it creates an HTTPS one.
