recently @Thundersteam switched "majors" from being a male nurse to being a failed computer programmer. he also wastes tons of money on chaturbate tranny cam shows. he's 60 he should be saving for retirement. but in general why do lolcows have no sense for the value of money or their future?
 
It's a general lack of understanding the concept of delayed gratification. Why have a somewhat stable retirement when you can get a camwhore to flash her tits for you today?
 
Because they already failed the easiest concept of function as a human being.
 
Because lolcows don't know the value of saving money, instead of saving up money for something they truly want. They just waste it on small things that will only give them pleasure for a few days until they buy their next pile of garbage.
 
because they are mentally like 5 and 5 year olds cant think ahead. they would rather spend their emergency fund on junk food and video games because being happy now is more important than anything else

lolcows on SSDI are even better because it isnt even their money they're spending
 
They want to be happy now. To them, money brings happiness. If they can impulse buy something they want, whether it be an item or a service, it makes them happy.
 
I think they want to belong so bad that they compare their spending sprees to normal purchases.

Take Kai for example. She bought a shitty looking plastic purse probably because she saw a guru had a new designer purse.
 
Because nobody in America knows how money works, and most lolcows are american.

Source: The average american is $15k in creditcard debt. And don't get on my case about how average is the worst fucking metric to use, this is a shitpost on a forum about autists, you spastic.
 
Because most lolcows are detached from reality at some level, due to autism or due to other circumstances (or both in cwc's case) both end with the lolcow being unable to grasp the true importance of handling money correctly. They almost always end up in massive debt, but their autism prevents them from being aware of it. Besides most of them live off of SSDI, and live with their parents so they don't ever worry about getting a job or leaving the house.
 
Poor impulse control.

If they had impulse control, they wouldn't come to our attention in the first place. Money is just another area of their lives where they don't restrain their impulses.

I think that hits on a couple of key points.
you've got the impulse control problems and the instant gratification thing.

and to add to it, if the money just sort of magically "appears" (ebegging, charity programs, whathaveyou) there isn't any cognitive association with effort, work, scarcity so it has power, but not real value in the sense of a connected resource. it's unreal in a way.

it's like leaving your house on your bike at the top of a hill. It's fun and all to coast down, but in the back of the functioning mind, you know you are going to have to ride up that bitch later
