This line from their statement makes me think the report is going to be less "Mermaids are awful and need to shape up" it will instead be "Mermaids are awful and need to replace 90% of their workforce with trans BIPOC."

They never would suggest their own activists are a risk to anyone. So it has to be in line with the lunatic's chosen way. As you say it might be released to the media at which point there probably would be backlash. Hell, worst case scenario they might be suggesting Mr Pro Pedo should not have been forced out.

To be fair it's a good line of argument. Part of the point of UK charities is they can't be too political, hence why BLM didn't register as a charity here.

Far be it from me to defend Maugs, but those are different things and his usage of political sphere here is OK. The rest of the tweet is mental though.
A full week into 2023 and I, like the rest of you I imagine, am finally done with my marathon re-watching of the King's Christmas Message.

But let's now turn our attention to the child-castrators. I'm happy to report that it has amassed a whopping 977 views since it was published, or about four (4) views per day.
It also doesn't mention dearly departed head honcho Susie Green, who was disappeared last year after 11 years as chair or chief executive. Suze might hold a Prince2 certificate, but the former IT manager unfortunately hasn't quite sussed out that on LinkedIn you don't have to state how unemployed you are, leading to delightful search results like this:
What does 2023 have in store for Mermaids? They're flush with cash after their "halp halp the transphobes are saying uncomfortable but true things about us" fundraiser, plus whatever their split is of the well-meaning-but-braindead Jingle Jam contributions. Yet on the horizon we have the Charity Commission inquiry report, as well as the rather more quotidian fact that 6 months of hiding in foxholes has left them in disarray, unable to even put out their podcast.
Here's to a wonderful 2023 folks, hopefully with Mermaids responsible for fewer sterile children than in 2022!
