When you're a little dweeb like Shapiro, you either learn to take a joke, and act like a mature adult, or you never have anyone around you take you seriously.

Ethan, at least earlier on, seemed like the type that could make fun of himself, for being fat or obnoxious or whatever, but it's important to keep in mind that it was always self-mockery on his own terms. When someone outside of his sphere of influence dunks on him or criticizes him, Klein has difficulty accepting it due to the fact that he can't control the conversation, and despite trying, has zero ability in terms of bantz.

I don't personally agree with Ben Shapiro on a lot of issues, and there are instances in which he gets felted for sure. But I believe he is considerably more intelligent and savvy than Ethan, and can tend to bounce back a lot quicker with his reputation intact, at least in regards to his fanbase.
