My name is Hugo Carvalho and I'm the CEO of DiamWall, today I'm bringing an important statement that I never thought I would need to do anytime soon.

About our CDN...​


Before even starting to talk about Kiwi Farms I think it is important to let people know what a CDN is and does.
We are only a proxy that filters website traffic and blocks malicious requests, we DO NOT host any website, we ARE NOT responsible for any website's content and we CANNOT control every service's content.
Everyone is free to register an account at our website, pay for the product and start using it. We DO NOT and CANNOT analyze every single website that starts using our services.
DiamWall is completely new in this market (we opened to the public one month ago) and this is not a good way to start for sure, nor is it the way that we wanted to start.
DiamWall was formed by a small group of people that worked for many years in this area with private customers and we created the best Anti-DDoS technologies that ever existed.

Now that you understand how it works, let's talk about Kiwi Farms...
The owner of Kiwi Farms came in need of DDoS Protection and because their website was offline due to DDoS, we didn't really know about their website's content. They had a PROBLEM and we had the SOLUTION.
Soon enough the reports started to arrive and we started digging more and more about this website, soon enough we found that Kiwi Farms hosts a lot of revolting content.

We do not think that is fair to terminate any service because of public pressure but in this case, we think there is some foundation behind all those requests and we really do not want to have anything to do with it.

So, after careful consideration, DiamWall does not feel like Kiwi Farms is a good fit for our company, which means that today we are SUSPENDING their service inside DiamWall's CDN.

Please be AWARE that this will not fix the issue, only delay it, they will find another provider that can protect them and will be online once again.

How badly is the site PoW script optimized that the Python script is over 100x faster? I thought Javascript JITs had good performance these days.

edit: I read this guy's other tweets. He seems to be someone in the coin space who is offended at the anti-DDoS scheme, and I don't see anywhere he distributed the code. You're misrepresenting it a bit. Given the attached tweet I doubt he's DDoSing us.

Providing the script to people would probably be unwise, but he didn't.

I think he has a good point. I looked at the PoW script and it's a pretty straightforward hash-based PoW based on SHA1. It's calling the built-in browser SHA1, so the problem is probably just that await overhead ends up eating performance. I'll try to do some benchmarking on the weekend.

Most of the value is just stopping standard DDoS sites from doing much without custom coding anyway.

Rekieta knows his shit, so if something can be done through the legal system to roadbloack Keffals in his extortion bullshit, it should. I have no idea how it would be put together, but if it can be done then it should.

Also that flagrant lie, Rekieta isn't financially tied to the Farms, it's nice they included that key word "alleged," just smart enough to not make a libelous remark.

The DDoS seems to only run at set times. I recall Null saying something about the people doing it being in a timezone that of course has a nighttime to sleep. So right now, all the trannies are fast asleep, but we are free to use this site with little issue. Later on, it might be a different issue.

Noone asking why DDoS protection companies should drop the Farms.
How everyone who is not on pro-troon line or even dares to question the narrative getting attacked (like that lawyer guy, Reketa law or whatever his name is) and deplatformed.
A serial liar, groomer and child abuser from Canada now proof reading business statements for an European company.
The huge amount of journo scum not doing their job and digging for the truth to report but instead doing PR work for that Canadian child abuser.

I for one am astounded by the fact that multiple companies whose one service is providing protection against ddos attacks have caved this way. Their business is predicated upon the fact that they prevent a person or small group of people from being able to take you off the net, yet if literally a dozen people complain they throw up their hands and say “Hey, I didn’t sign up for this!” and basically do it themselves. It’s like hiring a bodyguard but when time comes for them to actually guard your body they cower and go, “Woah, don’t hurt me, I dont even know this guy!”

Like I get they don’t want “bad publicity” from being associated but i feel like publicly broadcasting the fact that all it takes is some mean tweets for you to fold is even worse considering the entire purpose of your business.
