From pictures on her profile, she has strong features and is rather androgynous looking, so I can believe the men genuinely thought she was a teenage boy. In other words, she experienced something other than the kid-gloves treatment most trans people get, and could not cope even a little bit.

Of course she concludes that the problem is her height, and not the fact that some light banter among the class of people she is trying to infiltrate is so upsetting to her that it caused her to freak out and call her mom. No red flags about the future there at all.

This is great. Nonbinary is dumb, so I enjoyed the ragging on that. Them turning on each other was inevitable because narcissists can't build community. There's the TME vs TMA and the binaries vs nonbinaries, which turns the nonbinaries into a binary, so I guess the binaries win that one. It sounds like Hunter regrets letting them under the umbrella. Other fish simply spend a certain number of years as one sex and then switch as a kind of maturation.

Having this kind of sexual transition is called sequential hermaphroditism, or sequential dichogamy if you’re talking about plants, and it suggests that binaries are far from a rule in nature. Plenty of critters are plain ‘ol hermaphrodites, meaning they’re always able to fulfill either the male or female role in mating, as are the vast majority of plants (most flowers have male and female bits all in one). Those species that do it sequentially are just a little more special.

No, see, the actual moral wrong here is that those "straight" married men are hypocrites. And worse, they're ashamed of their desires rather than living their truth. And you're just upset that Violet is living her best life and is honest about who she really is.
