I walked by the office troon today. She shows me her new sticker drawing. It's of a mutilated chest with scars and the wording "zipper tits" around it.
"We're reclaiming the slur!" she says. I can't help myself and say I think it's a bit gross. She's obviously disappointed and tells me she though I'd be totally onboard "considering the stuff draw".
I draw horror(often gory) concept art for a living. The fact that this person looked at my art and thought "yup, you'll be onboard with my agenda" should tell you all you need to know.

Most prominent troons have moved on from "gender and sex are different" to "we ARE biologically female!". This is not a pro-science movement. It's one that relies on being anti-science and silencing dissent via censorship.
What research do you want me to do exactly?
This is a website all about "lolcows", so of course people here are going to focus on the craziest loons, but who are the reasonable voices in the trans community that have a decent size following?
Here's just a couple of talking points that I think are totally reasonable: -
- People should not be making threats of violence towards JK Rowling
- It's impossible for a person to change their biological sex
- We don't know enough about the long-term effects of cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to conclude that they are 100% safe, especially when talking about giving them to children
- Promoting the use of home-made HRT is a bad idea, especially if that's being pushed on children
I didn't used to have much of an issue with trans people using the bathrooms that are meant for the sex they identify as. Also, there are trans people who pass, so I don't see the sense in forcing a FTM trans person who has a beard and looks like a bloke to use a female bathroom, when that would likely just cause women to think "what's that man doing in here?".
But the problem is, with troons it's all or nothing. There's no discussion. So some 6'2" bloke with a beard and a 10" cock who says "I'm a woman now" should be allowed to swing his big dick around in front of little girls in female changing rooms according to them. Fuck that shit.
Also, there used to be a Twitter account that documented cases of troons posting selfies from inside female toilets, and they'd often have their erect dicks out. They were getting off on the fact that they were in there, and not just that - they were publicly flaunting that on social media, knowing that there's nothing anyone can do about it.
So, if those people really are the small minority of bad apples, they're your bad apples to deal with, but again, I would ask where are the reasonable voices in the trans community on this? Where are the troons and TRAs that care about women's comfort, who want to find some kind of workable compromise? Cos I don't see them.
You've been perfectly civil as far as I'm concerned, so no need to apologise. If you're trans, which I assume you are, good on you for coming on here and posting.
Ultimately, I would love it if we could find a way to make everyone happy on this issue, but I think it's impossible. I think it's impossible to give trans people what they want without stomping on women's rights, and from where I'm standing, it's only women who are being expected to accept a rollback of their rights.
Weirdly the passing troons I've seen online almost completely avoid the trans-activism topic. Probably because they are too busy fooling celebrities.
This has to be hundreds of thousands of dollars of surgical work here as well as constant training.
I'm sure the troons on reddit think the pills just magically make this happen.

Gender capitalism is an apt term: they state gender is a social construct yet spent a bunch of money on gendered items.It's funny that most of these people call themselves socialists or communists while accepting and parroting ideas like "gender is how your present yourself." Which, once you rip off the Scooby Doo mask, basically means "a huge and very important part of your 'identity' is based on the products you consume in the form of clothing, makeup, hairstyles, gendered personal hygiene products, and medication."
Literally taking a part of the self that is natural and free of cost (one's biological sex) and replacing it in importance with something that must be expressed with consumer products. Capitalism has really done a number on these people while convincing them that they are fighting against it.
