Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Anime's crying about this is the only good thing coming out of this situation.
The most funny thing is that ppl actually believed rekieta's statements that anime industry was at stake because of this shit. Like probably nobody cared about this except Marchi and her clique.
If u want to change anime western industry this lawsuit may help giving the company bad reputation and fuck up some bad actors lifes (if u win), but the system remains the same.

This was more of a metoo cultural thing than anime centric stuff.

lmao eat shit weeb wars, how's that L feel?
Feeling fine. Getting overly invested in someone else's problems isn't something someone should do. Hopefully some fellow farmers learned a valuable lesson from the experience.

It's genuinely difficult to illustrate just how empty this lolsuit was on Vic's part in retrospect. I distinctly remember one of the last big Nick streams until now on the subject was him and his nuthuggers trying to convince themselves that Vic was back and bigger than ever because he was in some college short film project. The guy goes from a starring role as one of the biggest characters in the first or second most profitable animated series Japan has ever produced, to being extra #8 in a kid's school assignment. His largest work since the lolsuit started has unironically been showing up on a livestream.

Outside of Kiwi Farms and whatever is left of Vic Kicks Back or whatever the opposing hashtag was Vic is a literally who, which when googled is immediately outed as a serial sex abuser. Unjustly? Maybe so, but while Ty and his firm were bumbling morons who had no right touching anything Vic had 3 years to do anything to better involve himself in his own case. The appeals being denied was assured from the word go for anyone who was actively following the case with a critical eye.

The biggest tragedy in this loss is that it took so fucking long that almost all of the weebs who cared have long since moved on, denying me my salt mining. Even the shitposts I had prepared for this outcome were lost in a hard drive failure ages ago, and even if I still had them I don't even think anyone would remember what the esoteric references were given how little this whole endeavor amounted to.

I maintain that if he wanted to litigate he should have stuck with his original attorney, who was both a woman and had actual experience with defamation. Nick schmoozing onto Vic so he could convince him to hire a very close family friend instead with the intention of being able to get him onto his show as a guest is the real tipping point for where Vic simply should have looked at the mounting bills and refocused his efforts elsewhere.

Ty is a fat, blithering real estate lawyer who's tactics consisted of asking the dang Keewee Farms to fuck with the defendants, wearing funny shirts, and handing his sloppy homework in late. The money from the GoFundMe would have been substantially better off being used to start some small scale studio away from the stink of the Texas recording scene than paying him for his terrible work.
Yea. At first I came here to mine a whole shitload of salt but this case dragged on so long I'm just not feeling it anymore. So now I just hope that something funny will come out of the whole mess. Like Rekieta getting sued by Ron Toye.

If that kid was actually being sexually harassed in front of her parents as well as the parents of other children, I'd be willing to bet that a mortician would be called far before any security officer or police because Vic would be very much dead. It was a throw away joke.
So if a drag queen made the exact same joke to a kid, how would you feel?
I was referring to your comments about inapropriate jokes and people being disgusted. They aren’t disgusted.
Really because everyone I talked to at that con about it thought it was gross AF and that Vic should be banned from hosting the masquerade ever again. He might have been now that I think about it.

How would I feel if a guy in an ugly dress with white makeup and demon horns made this joke vs a completely ordinary, mentally healthy grown man? That's a pretty simple question.
A mentally healthy grown man doesn't hit on prepubescent children, even as a joke.

So if a drag queen made the exact same joke, how would you feel?
If it was the exact same situation, in this case a children's costume contest hosted by a drag queen with the parents in the room using the exact same line in the exact same context as Vic, then I think it would be ok. It would be uncomfortable for some people because of identity politics but that doesn't necessarily constitute sexual harassment or assault. Of course the moment it goes further, I'd very much want to give the tranny what he wants and castrate him followed by decorating an evergreen with his hanging body.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but nobody else on the planet sees it as noncery but you and 3 other troons.
Really, because I'm pretty sure the only people who wouldn't see a middle aged man hitting on an elementary schooler as noncery are other nonces.

I just wish there had been at least some social repercussions against Daman Mills. Really creepy behavior for even an older teen to be doing with 13 year old boys. Same weird faggoty disrespect for boundaries with minors online that a lot of pedo furries exhibit. Vic getting thrown under the bus sucks but at least it would have been nice to see one of their own go down with him.

Then again I am sure he's not the only one among the seedy VA industry to have a sordid past. Lot of the younger VAs like Mills were seemingly young weebs themselves which comes with a lot of weirdness in online spaces.

Ty didn't result in a legal victory but instead a much more impactful PR victory

On a serious note, while I think Vic is in the right... I hope this happens, for the lulz and sperging. A lot of KFers are terminally parasocial and view their pet shit as righteous crusades. Sometimes the a-logs/fans are the real cows.

If this loss doesn't make Ty Beard a bad lawyer what possibly could?
People who spend hours and hours drinking and watching an internet daddy drink on stream, imagining they're drinking with him like he knows them and is their friend because they send "NOTICE ME DADDY" superchats will never even admit daddy's shit tastes bad.
