Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Null should have just kept registration turned off for the rest of the year. Imagine being so pathetic you didn't even register your one use account earlier than today so your attempt to dunk on anyone here wouldn't come off as retarded with your registration date. Might as well just link to your Twitter handles on your profile page or something.
We didn't appreciate 2021 posters when we had the chance.

But to be fair to those obvious socks that all 3 4 of which got registered the same day/week, that was the day before the ruling, isn't it? Odd coincidence, either way.

So, spicy questions:

Odds and propriety of Vic suing Ty for malpractice?

I know unlike this case, Lawtwitter used to like claim he might have one for that.
Highly doubt it.
They seem to like each other and Vic is not that kind of guy.
I assume they will make a deal and Ty will pay a not inconsiderate part out of pocket.

Not high. He -should- because even Beard admits he fucked up its so indefensibly bad. But he won't
If Vic sues he's probably not winning, I can't seen any malpractice, just poor performance. However, if he felt Ty fucked up bad enough he could do it out of spite, and certainly wreck Ty's reputation.

"Stay mad"
Yet here you are making a single screenshot into a video because.....
No one will never be more MATI than lawtwitter/kv. lol Imagine spending that much of your life on Twitter. I don't even have a Twitter account.

Imagine going to this much trouble just to look like a faggot. How much real estate must Kiwi Farms take up in these people's brains? If they were leaked something this just makes the people involved look even more pathetic.

Didn't fuck with client money, no malpractice :^)
That's not the definition of legal malpractice though. Or at least the solitary one. There have been meritorious legal malpractice suits where it was shown the lawyer acted in an incompetent manner than caused economic damage to the client.

They seem to like each other and Vic is not that kind of guy.
Fair point. I just thought I'd ask. I remember Lawtwitter seemed to like to bring it up a lot.

So now what? KV does victory laps, Ty and Nick have egg on their faces, and I really worry that Vic could lose evertything he’s worked for now that he’s lost in his opportunity to save his reputation. The fact that a state law is the only thing keeping Vic from dying in the street is disheartening and I can only hope the next time I hear about Vic isn’t because he took his own life. Here’s hoping he won’t end up like Lowtax.

Imagine being sentenced to not being allowed to work because a bunch of random shits talking to nothing but bots on twitter took a case that does not have anything to do with guilt nor makes any attempt to even find out anything at all, and uses it as proof to you being guilty. AND PEOPLE BELIEVE THEM. To the point that no one else wants to work with you because the twitter faggots say so.

what if instead of spending $291K on a lolsuit they just gave Vic the money to live on until he got back on his feet?
Suing was always in the cards for Vic, and the lawsuit gave Vic a lot of good PR and let them drag the Funi Crew through the mud. There really was no other way with how much they hated him, and any PR firm Vic hired would have advised a lawsuit to keep Vic's story in the media and create the narrative he was fighting back. Fortunately Vic got Nick doing PR for free.

Makes you wonder why you even entered the field to begin with. So much for that Matsuri thing.

And look where that got Vic . Probably unable to ever work in his field again and having to see all he ever did go up in smoke. And all his fans potentially turning their back on him.

The thing is, you have to assume what would have happened if Ty hadn't fucked up the evidence. There is no guarantee that Chupp would have let it through TCPA then, he probably wouldn't, or if the appeals court would have reversed Chupp's decision if the evidence was filed and notarized properly.

What makes you think the Matsuri dubbing studio is going to be affected by this, at all? Vic had already lost the case. The Matsuri thing was started with that being already a thing.

Him losing the appeal on what I feel most people are going to consider a technicality and Ty fucking up isn't going to change minds. It's a net zero event, I think, other than having smug idiots crawl out of the woodwork to be smug idiots.

The "community" already drew lots on this, and it seemed that the Femcels went to support the alpha femcels that work at Funimation (for now), and the rest of the community either doesn't care or support Vic.
