Why did Nick invite Jaden to move to Chicago? Back when it was discovered that Jaden lived in Nick's building, everyone assumed that Jaden was Nick's e-boyfriend turned irl boyfriend. Most people don't think that anymore, so it's an interesting question.

None of Nick's various explanations make sense. Nick said he wanted Jaden to produce his show? That never happened. Nick continued to do the show by himself in his mother's basement for months. Nick said he wanted Jaden to be his assistant? He already had an assistant. Jaden never replaced Assistant Groyper. Nick said he brought Jaden there to be his friend? Everything Jaden liked to do with friends, like go outside and meet people and drink, Nick hated doing.

I don't know if Jaden actually wanted an excuse to leave behind his girlfriend in Kansas. Clearly Nick saw it that way. In fact, it seems like Nick's primary motivation for inviting Jaden was to get Jaden away from his girlfriend.

Imagine you had feelings for a friend, feelings you could never act on, and that friend constantly complained to you about their partner. Imagine you were in that position and your friend told you, "I don't really love her, but I can't get anyone else because I'm such a loser." It would feel bad. You might start thinking things like, "Dump her! I can make you happy!" If you were insane, you might start devising a plan to break them up.

Maybe this is too charitable to Nick. Maybe it was less "I can make you happy" and more jealous rage that a female had what he wanted. Either way, it's telling that Nick remembers exactly what Jaden said about his girlfriend. The conversations about Jaden's girlfriend loom in his mind. He remembers how often Jaden and the girlfriend talked. He remembers that Jaden didn't get her a birthday present. He admits that Jaden somewhat liked her -- "then again, she is really cool" -- but he projects his own hatred for her onto Jaden -- "he hates the girlfriend." I think Nick wanted to break up Jaden and his girlfriend so badly that he created a hasty excuse ("I'll give you a job!") without thinking through any of the details.

I've been watching Jaden's stream and my overall impression of Jaden is that he's 1) average IQ and 2) typical lower-middle class unprofessional. If Jaden didn't attack Nick, he would have no content. He doesn't say anything novel or thought provoking. He is similar to RPG or CWC, just another right-wing wignat NPC.

With that said, it's not healthy to keep attacking Nick. He is basically inviting Nick to keep feuding. Obviously Nick will never stop. if Jaden was more professional, he would go on Destiny's show to explain his position but then not talk about Nick anymore on his own show so he could claim that he is distancing himself from Nick.
