Been re-watching some of the earlier seasons recently, hence the association - but this reminds me somewhat of that godforsaken I Am Jazz show. Back before he got the dickchop, when he was just about turning 16, Jazz wanted to tour around various butcher doctor's offices in search of who would eventually get to fillet his shriveled micropenis in an effort to turn it into some approximation of a vagina. He obviously failed in the end due to insufficient cojones, but his dad was really the only one around him even trying to put the brakes on and encourage the poor dipshit to at least think about it and wait until he was 18. This hysterical reeeeeeeeeing is very reminiscent of the toddler-esque meltdown Jazz had in response to his dad's mild suggestion that he slow the fuck down - it's so pathetic, because if anything it really demonstrates the precise level of immaturity that in any sane world would utterly disqualify them from being permitted to make such irreversible, monumental decisions. The moment you say "no" as a parent they stamp their tiny little Gayden footsies and pout about how you're sooooo unfaaaaaair and you just want them to be unhaaaaappy, and all it reveals is that the parent was right about them being mentally incompetent children in the first place.

Commies used to be big on science, the whole USSR going out of it's way to fund great scientific programs and education for the masses. Citizen needed to be educated and they ment women too. Gender equality was considered ideal at least in theory.
The emphasis was put on science over other subject because they wanted to create Soviet scientists and believed those field to be crucial for the success of the communist project.

Plus the whole Space Race, nuclear race... money and ressources went into those field, it was a National Priority to have loads of engineers graduating every year and putting their brain to work to further the country and compete against the West.

So their science departments probably have been populated by women since then and that creates incentives for new women to go into them. Plus even after the fall of communism they still have an hard-ass culture.

How long before they tell her to cut off ties with her parents? she'll find out the hard way that familial relationships are a lot more important than parasocial ones with social (and regular) retards on plebbit. This is a perfect example to why you need both parents involved in a child's life - the mother to be kind and supportive when necessary, and the father to put his foot down and be assertive when things go too far.
