Finally. This dangerous trend of giving TiMs everything and anything they want at the expense of real women’s safety - is (hopefully) starting to change. It’s tragic that basic common sense could not be applied to this situation before multiple women were raped and assaulted. And while troons and their halfwitted supporters will bitch and moan about the troons’ safety (while completely ignoring if not outright dismissing the safety and suffering of real women) hopefully this will signify the beginning of a new trend wherein sex-segregated spaces are protected and affirmed.
To be clear, I do not want any vulnerable person to be put in the position to be raped, assaulted or abused. If necessary, trans-identified prisoners should be put in their own separate facility. That said, they will fight that tooth and filthy acrylic nail because “fuck cissie women being raped and assaulted, what about my affirmation?!?” (Because that’s all they fucking care about, since they’re misogynistic assclowns to the core.) That said, we all know that since the open-door policy allowing male predators unlimited access to incarcerated women who are physically weaker than them and have no place to run/hide from their predation has now been curtailed, many of these incarcerated TiMs who oh-so-conveniently began to identify as “women” once they realized they could be locked up with dozens of potential female victims has been stopped, they will stop identifying as such. It was always just a ploy to have access to female prisoners.
As for TiMs and their never-ending quest to invade or destroy female spaces and groups, hopefully other institutions and groups will stop catering to these troons and give women some of their spaces back. I have lost any hope whatsoever that California and other super-stupid ultra liberal states will embrace such basic decency and logic, but perhaps the red states in the US will begin to employ similar policies. To quote Laetitia Ky, “Inclusion that ignores personal boundaries and trauma is just as toxic as exclusion.”
