I’ve been thinking this for a while.
Minstrel shows about blackface were still widely accepted in entertainment up until the civil rights movement, and in recent years have become a hot button issue. People look back with disgust over how ingrained it was in beloved movies and TV shows because now it’s recognized as being completely unacceptable.
In another 50-70 years will society look back upon Ru Paul’s Drag Race with similar contempt? Will drag and these over-the-top portrayals of femininity be held with the same disgust?

They don't necessarily inject it, I think. A lot of medical estrogens are creams or patches, they are absorbed by the skin. You can inject hormones of course but I am not sure it's always done that way. No idea of the posology and how it change after you get rid of your god-given gonads. I think you probably need to start with stuff that cancels out your "natural hormones" especially for males with balls they would need to block androgens and then add the estrogens.
DIY HRT is not uncommon I think.

It's just continuing doing the same things we've always done; separating men and women in sports for reasons of safety and fairness. If any man can pop on his grandma's flowery dress and say "my name's Gloria now and I'm a purdy lady!" and compete against women, it would be a disaster for women's sports.
If some kind of troon apartheid was happening, you would see signs up everywhere saying "no disgusting trannies allowed". You'd have to live where you were told. You'd not be able to openly mix with "cis" people.
You know, "India", it's really distasteful to take words like "apartheid" and "genocide" and apply them to situations such as biological males not being allowed to compete against biological females in sports. It shows how radicalised troons are that they have amplified their own victimhood to such a level. There's no tranny genocide going on. You're not living under apartheid. Women (quite rightfully), don't want their sex-based rights being stamped all over by the size 11s of mentally ill men in dresses, that's all.
