The actual reason the helicopter crashed was interesting.
TLDR: Turns out one of the most popular civilian helicopters has the unfortunate tendency for the rotors to flex and cut the tail off if you're too rough with them. Which makes you wonder why the pilots were practicing recovery techniques with it that day.
