Suddenly remembering that post further back in this thread with the picture of a dead woman who died purging :(

I've never given so many feels ratings in a thread before.
I think about that poor woman a lot. To die like that, alone, must be one of the most tragic, scary, lonely ways to die, and I was so afraid through Lucinda's absence that this horrible fate could have befallen her. Thank goodness it hasn't happened to her, and I sure hope that it never does. Lucinda sees purging as a normal everyday task like washing your hands, brushing your teeth, or just going to the bathroom. The probability of this happening to her is decently high considering what she's shared about her eating and purging habits, so I was actually very concerned and eager for the silence to finally break with some news about her status.

This is one of the extremely rare times where I actually hope that a cow never produces any more m.ilk and the thread dies. Because in Lucinda's case, that would probably be a sign that she's pursuing and living a better life. Few cows come close to our little Luci. 🤕

This. Like, at least please go on the comfy chair, someplace where she's more content. *sigh*
There’s a decent chance that her body will give her a gentle death with passing in her sleep of a heart attack, a lot of these severe anorexics just fade away.

She’ll start sleeping more and more as her organs shut down and her body fails, eventually she won’t wake up.
Everyone dies, but a kind death is the most you can ask for.
Lucinda deserves that.

In my heart of hearts I want to see her do a 180 healthwise but I truly think there has been too much damage, emotionally and physically, and she is on the way out. It's hard to overcome the issues that exacerbated the eating disorder so badly when your body has also quit - refeeding is so often the first step before treatment can be fully successful because the psychological issues can't be worked through when the brain is starving for nutrition, it literally can't make the new healthy coping paths without food. I hope her family is around her and she can let them care for her a little. I am happy to see she is alive and has received medical treatment, because that means there's a better chance that she will be more comfortable or have access to comfort care when the end comes. If she has enough insight into where she's at, she must be scared. I think she does know. I was honestly expecting the worst and this is not the absolute worst, but it is very sad.

I am still cheering for our unicorn and a turnaround would be amazing, but all I want for her now is safety, love, and to feel a bit of relief before the end.

Oof, I need to go laugh at some funny cows.

Última edición:
She's just so incredibly sweet and likeable. I'll take all the puzzle pieces, but if there was ever anyone with a thread here that I'd consider (cow) tipping, it's her. Just to give her some money for her craft/art stuff that she was so excited about when she started her job. That really seemed to affect her so badly, and I think it pretty much started this downward spiral. Realistically, I know it's only accelerated the inevitable, I just wish she had something that gave her a feeling of accomplishment and joy... or whatever disappeared when she lost her job. Poor kid.

This is horrifying, she won't last longer, I feel for her family, I can't imagine the pain of seeing a loved one deteriorating like this.

I’ve been think about Lucinda a lot and hope she can hang on. Seeing this happens really magnifies my anger for people like Luna slater and Tess claiming eating disorders like it’s fucking cute.

It chafes my chaffles that we spent years indirectly supporting cwc, but can't adopt this girl as a mascot. Just to send her books, or try to get her established with some mental health care that isn't from last century, or get her videogames or something idk. Not money, bc she'd obviously spend that on b/p food, but still.

Lucinda just posted!

Ready for my rainbows, but I really hope her time in the hospital has had a lasting effect on her and she doesn't just go back to her same routine of b&p. Very happy to have a sign of life from Lucinda herself though.
I can only hope that her knowing just how many people are invested and care about her wellbeing at least will encourage and inspire her to care for her health more. :optimistic: Unfortunately, I doubt that she would ever leave the ED twitter community even if she did.
Unless she gets banned. A big account on Twitter went down recently because the girl who owned it got permanently IP banned from Twitter for posting a lot of bodychecks. She's very thin, looks like Eugenia levels of skelly. Sadly she's simply moved to Instagram as an alternative to Twitter. I don't know what the handle is, but I've seen her posts on TikTok with the username elfkaro.

So glad to hear from her! Not that I think her hospital stay will change her mind about anything though. I just hope that she can be as comfortable as possible until the end (whenever that may be).

The latest from Lucinda, alongside some ed twitter reposts.
Christ, I thought she just passed out from malnutrition or something. A heart attack in someone this young is rare, scary shit.
Her electrolytes were probably severely low, her blood sugar is most definitely too low, and with the amount of b/p she insinuates her cortisol must be through the roof. She barely eats and most likely doesn't try to properly supplement all the vitamins and minerals essential to survival. All things that put stress on the heart, not to mention her body is now breaking down muscle and the heart is a huge lump of muscle so in chronic ed patients, (who are usually over 30,) heart attack is more likely. Also, once you've had a heart attack it's more likely that you'll have more, compared to someone who's never had a heart attack.

Lucinda's posting pretty much like normal again, sharing her inner thoughts and humorous observations (though she has yet to go full-force with the edtwt posts again).
She shares a reminder that frilly things and long hair were historically for boys and men as much as they are for girls. She states she is agender and is okay with being referred to by "she/her" pronouns, but she prefers "he/him" pronouns the best.

I too am Mads.
I know she edits her photos to make her face slimmer, but this is so thin regardless. These are cartoonesque facial proportions, and I don't mean that to be a good thing.
Well, she's crazy, and also people with eating disorders who pic edit do it to unreasonable proportions because they have a distorted view of anatomy. They edit themselves down closer to what they feel they want to look like, which might even look normal to them, but we see big ol legs like the Fresno Nightcrawlers.

58 pounds?! she is getting awfully friendly with the grim reaper. give me rainbows because I thought that this girl in her 20's having a heart attack would've actually been a wake up call for her. but alas, weapons-grade schizophrenia.

Lucinda shared more info about her time in the hospital. She had organ damage from going into cardiac arrest. She was put into a coma and had surgery to have "a little box" connected to her heart (pacemaker? implantable defibrillator? medfags?).
She was also put on a feeding tube while in the hospital, and they took her scale away. She says her stomach feels like a basketball now. I would assume she's gained at least a little weight.
She says everyone gets too sad and that she's okay. She wants to just move on and not talk about it because of how horrible hospitals and doctors are for her.

Someone was wondering how Luci's English was so good considering she's relatively isolated in Puerto Rico. She says she's always spoken more in English because her friends and dad speak English. Her mom doesn't speak English.

No goal weight, just skeleton.
