I've been following Anna for many years but this might be her most pathetic video yet.
I'm used to the mental gymnastics as I watch a fair few of the cows, but this was something else. There are so many things wrong with her story that I don't even know where to start.
Firstly, why would a woman who suffers from anorexia look at Anna and think "you know what, this is silly, I no longer feel anxious about the size of my body, time to get better"? If anything, I imagine seeing what eating can do (in extreme cases) would have the opposite effect?
Secondly, why would you approach someone while they were seemingly in a conversation with somebody else, let alone an "e-celeb" and whisper in their ear?
Thirdly, my experience of flying has always been that most seats need to be booked ahead of time. What are the chances that:
a) the person was booked on the seat next to Anna
b) she could even fit on a row next to Anna
The bit about her "forgetting her name" just solidifies the fact that the whole tale is bullshit made up by Anna to justify her massive weight gain and reluctance to lose anything.
She has tried blaming it on not wanting to let fans down, on medical professionals, on health issues, on trolls, her family, on the body positive movement...she's running out of reasons and is frighteningly close to having to take accountability - hence the "woe is me" waterworks.
I get it, losing weight can be challenging and a long slog for some people, I imagine especially so if you're at the point where she is. The frustrating thing is that all she would have to do is just cut her calories to 2000 a day, go for short walks and stop drinking alcohol, and she would see a massive change fairly quickly. Doctors are not going to tell her she's the first human being to defy the laws of physics and even though it might be harder for certain people to lose weight due to metabolic disorders, etc, if you keep cutting calories then you will eventually lose weight, even if it takes longer and is more difficult. I just can't see this being the case when you're over 500lbs.
She just needs to stop lying to herself. Nobody believes she's "hiking" every other day, nobody thinks she eats healthily, nobody believes she's still comfortably fitting into a 3x - the only person who believes this is Anna. She can't move forward until she stops looking at herself through this social media lense and accepts the awful situation she has got herself into.
