Kelly strikes me as the kind of mother who yanks her kid's hair back painfully and then acts surprised when the kid won't allow her.
Sometimes kids don't think through things, but sometimes they have sadistic mother's they understand it's best not to give them any sadistic opportunity.
I don't think Kelly is abusive or needs CPS called, but I do think she's mean to at least one of the kids.

I don't know if anyone caught this, but you don't actually "tie back/put up" a little girl's hair if they are in the bathroom and throwing up. To me, that sounds like Kelly wanted the girl to come out of the bathroom, let her tie her hair back, and then finish throwing up. Which sounds like insanity. Kelly could have gotten her fat ass out of her fat bed and helped her kid in the bathroom, but I can bet she sat and listened to her kid throwing up and didn't want to give up on the plastic gallon of ice cream she was eating.

Oh, I do think Kelly is abusive in both flagrant and insidious ways, but calling CPS on a white suburbanite in the Chicagoland area over often covert narcissistic behavior and neglect is utterly pointless and inane.

Kelly told her daughter that a psychiatrist said she should be "sent away".
That poor kid is only what, 8 years old? I can't imagine what circumstances it would be appropriate to tell that to a child, but knowing Kelly, she probably said it in the worst circumstances possible, e.g. as a veiled threat when the child was misbehaving.

Why would you do this to a child? You'd have to be a full blown sadist who gets a kick out of fucking with them to come up with that kind of shit. Kelly loathes her children on a deep and profound level. For the sake of whatever gods or goddesses that may be watching, if she hates them that much, why doesn't she just pack up her crap and walk away?

Why? Why would you tell a small child this?
Clearly she was seeing a psychiatrist for a reason and was experiencing mental distress.
Then her mom tells her that the doctor wanted to “send her away”, which I’m sure is going to do great things as far as her daughter trusting mental health professionals.
And this is such a great opportunity for Kelly to let her daughter know she benevolently let her stay despite her “issues”, plus the unspoken is she always COULD be taken away under mental health circumstances so better be good for Mama Fried Chicken.
She’s so goddamn elaborately cruel in her manipulation of her kids.
