True, but those regulations only test your ability to drive a car, not whether you're going to have a breakdown and kill tons of people in an attack. Most people have licenses as a result. A training requirement for gun purchases might heavily cut down on accidental gun deaths, but it wouldn't prevent some mentally unstable retard who loves guns from passing a competence test and then later shooting something up. A mental exam requirement might then stop a few of those people, but then you run into the issue of preventing people with minor mental issues from being able to protect themselves, on top of crazy retards being able to fake being sane.

He seems dangerously misinformed in that clip. Where is he even getting the info that Texas's best mental health coverage is in prison? If he's an idealist and looking for social programs to fund mental health professionals and have it be available for everyone he is living in the wrong country.

It's almost funny that many people don't even need the idealized social programs at all and just need lifestyle changes. Diet, exercise, and mindfulness go a long way. Maybe Ethan should look into that... but it seems like he's too far gone to give up on his pride. Someone needs to make him realize the life he lives is dumb.
