Hearing voices has been around for a long time. If you're able to hold down a full time job, maintain housing, and a social network you don't really have an illness. The people they reach out to typically aren't the same group who experience an inability to function in society.
I'm pretty unsympathetic to the trans suicide statistic because of schizophrenia. A staggering number of young men with severe psychotic disorders kill themselves b/c of the social dysfunction, but they aren't the current darling of the social sciences so who gives a fuck.

The more time I spend in Discords with some of these weirdos the more I'm convinced most of them only transition because they want to be "unique" with some dumb fucking gender like Demigender slapped on all their social media profiles.
And it will continue to creep me out that so many trannies are MTF, it's almost never the other way around. Also they're almost always "lesbians".

FTMs are increasingly common. Sometimes they do it for the same reason why MtFs do (autoandrophilia/autogynephilia), but more often than not, it's because they tend to feel more insecure about their bodies and think that transitioning it the solution.

I honestly find that MtFs are more likely to wear sundresses than even cis women do, because they're usually wide enough to cover the fact that they obviously don't have weight distribution in their hips or thighs, or any kind of hip to waist ratio that cis women have.
When women do wear dresses, even if they're fat, they usually pick something that specfically compliments their body shape.

Also with trans it's suicidal ideation and we know that suicides is a emotional blackmail point with trans. In any other mental health area suicide is carefully spoke about, if you attempt suicide you won't wake to be greeted with people being super nice to you because the professionals don't want it to become a way of gaining attention.
With trans we have activists on TV saying do you want a dead son or a alive daughter. This is so unprofessional and dangerous. It's making suicide a bargaining point.
And as you said the group most likely to die by suicide is men, but it goes without mentioning. Also given the comorbidities that trans people have with other mental illness how much of actual trans suicide is the BPD, schizophrenia suicides causing it.
You will have a trans person complaining who isn't in a high risk group compared to actual men for suicide as if men aren't effected it isn't about suicide it's about emotional manipulation.
