There was a time not that long ago, within my own lifespan, where men would recognize that there could be fundamental differences in political or religious beliefs between them, and put that aside for either pragmatic reasons, or because they bonded on much more tangible things, like hobbies, work, friendship or family. They would simply mutually agree in some unspoken manner not to talk about those political differences, and get on with other things.

I know it's really hard to believe, but that's how it was, and honestly, when society is functioning properly, it's how men should be. In fact, not being able to do it would be seen as something of a character flaw.

I honestly think Sam was genuine in this video where he said the outrageous personality that people think he really is at face value is actually just that an act. And I don't blame people for not getting that when it comes to Sam Hyde, he purposely blurred the line when he apparently donated money to The Daily Stormer's Andrew Anglin. But then you have to remember what The Daily Stormer actually is, a fucking keyboard warrior wignat blog written by a fucking manlet.

Ultimately I don't know what Sam truly thinks of the world at large, but he's made it overwhelmingly apparent that he wants you to not take him seriously. Harley sees Sam for that.

I get what you're saying, and I agree with you in that is how it should be when society is functioning properly, at least to a certain extent. I hate it when faggots cite Karl Popper's idiotic "paradox of tolerance" as a reason to cancel and not associate with people of opposing worldviews, but as I've grown older I've come to realize that it's, at least for me, necessary to simply not bother at all with certain people precisely for them being excruciatingly massive cunts, which takes a tangible form in their often very outspoken politics.

I used to be friends with a person who was not only a forthright communist, but a downright stalinist, who more than 10 years ago held all of the regressive talking points a leftist of today would revel in. He seemed to manage to combine cultural marxism with being a tankie. I managed to be his friend because he was, despite this, a really kind and honest guy, whom you could kind of feel was misguided in his views, but too aloof to properly recognize and rectify it. He grew up in an environment where anything but hardcore socialist ideas were being espoused as the gospel of truth, and so it's no wonder he ended up barfing up the kind of diatribe you'd come to expect from a bunch of social misfits. Still, he managed to retain a good personality otherwise, and we shared the same hobbies, as you say, so I could let his idiotic ideas slide, and focus on what brought us together. I could not do that today. Perhaps this is as a result of my age, perhaps it's as a result of accelerationism having progressed that far, or perhaps it's because of these and other things combined that I could no longer function as men of yore in a functioning society could, but it is what it is. I do not recognize it as being a chracter flaw; quite the opposite, really.

Really entertaining to see Sam Hyde properly train others though. You can tell that he doesn't joke around with boxing.

If anyone was to get upset, it would be Harley. I doubt Sam would really care, or if he did he wouldn't show it as he just has better shit in his life to do than argue with some Canadian has been.
 
It helps paint a very entertaining illustration of this entire ordeal. We've got a slovenly semi-obese 6'6" Hebrew who despite acting like an internet toughguy as a bit for a decade never learned how to throw a punch or hit a bag, being trained by a guy shorter by only two inches who looks like a disheveled Jewish philosophy professor for a community college that got kicked out over complications related to his severe codeine addiction with the body of a reigning Bumfights champion through techniques involving fist-fighting in parking lots, dousing gloves in bearspray, and trading liver shots while arguing about how many people actually died in the Holocaust (if it even happened at all). All with the backdrop of one of the most morose and neurotic parts of New England, where the cracked brick buildings are an effective egregore of the local culture that Harley has been dropped into that Sam swims in and many others drown.

This is the best content either of these two have made in years. I love it.

Harley looked pretty decent imo but this was still such an egregious mismatch, what was he like 6 inches taller than ego and 60 pounds heavier? Why was this allowed? Also Ian's match seemed like a clear work to me to pump his ego.

I’ve hated Arin for a long ass time for his lazy abandonment of his actual talent in animating to stream viddies for kiddies but I tolerated him during the Jontron arc of Game Grumps and immediately went back to alogging after that disastrously ended, I have wanted to watch someone drag their nuts across his face for so long and I got that today. Sam actually did a major solid for Harley here, maybe he’s at his best when he’s not being a degenerate hypocritical grifter.

I think the problem was they couldn't find someone else harley's size who was either big enough or brand safe enough. with ian, you're 100% right no question
