You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

That's called a "period". A miscarriage (aka natural abortion, aka spontaneous abortion) has a zygote/embryo/blastocyst/fetus expelled with it, none of which are babies either.

I just had to explain to a grown man on the internet what the difference between a period and a miscarriage is, and said grown man thinks his opinions about those things matters somehow. That kind of pisses me off.
You misinterprented me (english as second language, woohoo) and I am a female. I meant that, shed uterine lining aside, anything beside tumors that develops there is bound to be a baby.

When people add / s at the end. It's the text equivalent of sitcom laugh tracks. Anyone who isn't a child or autistic will understand when someone's being sarcastic, why ruin a joke just to cater to a minority of people?

And if you didn't add an / s and normal people didn't realize it was sarcastic, then you're shit at sarcasm & deserve the humiliation. At least you'll know better next time.

The grocery stores around here have been trying to sell the same old, battered, messed up batch of bermuda, sweet and yellow onions for the past month or two. I'm at that point where I'm just going to buy a big restaurant supply-sized sack of nice, fresh ones from Costco and see if my neighbors want the extras. I cook almost every meal that my family eats, and I just can't handle resorting to granulated onion for everything while I wait for the grocers to get their act together. That stuff is meant for dry rub seasoning, brine, home made dips and quick broth blends that you strain; not for stews, stir-fry, sandwiches and salads. This is so much worse than that time something similar was going on with the carrots. I need fresh onions to cook with on a daily basis or I'm going to have a stroke.

Neurotypical people who throw a shitfit whenever someone says 'retard.'

Like, stop being a little bitch baby on my behalf. I don't actually give a shit if anyone says it.

I've met plenty of people who straight out cannot read sarcasm (even if its incredibly blatant) or comical tone in nearly anything. Shit I've seen plenty of that on KF, still hate seeing /sneed. But there are some straight out retards who require a giant flashing sign saying 'THIS IS NOT SERIOUS'.

Especially with no warning and when you don't know them well, if at all. Getting dick pics from a rando on facebook is a surefire way to absolutely ruin a good day.
The funniest thing I’ve done with that is whenever I get a nude or titty pic, I just tint the skin blue and resend it.

Nice. My response always depends on the context and my mood. Sometimes I reply with a picture or emoji of a magnifying glass, Sometimes I tell their mother what their kid is up to. (Or their partner, if they have one.) Just depends on how I'm feeling at the time.

If you know how some scammers just add a bunch of numbers to a chat group and send some weird images. There was this one where it’s a very cheesy intro with a pic of someone with saggy tits. In response I cut off the face and tits and used animation to make a huge face with titty legs doing squats. I thought it was hilarious but I can’t find it in my phone.

Here, the grocery store I go to has been trying to sell what appears to be an overstock of cream of mushroom soup for US $0.99 but nobody seems interested because the stock is still there almost 3-4 weeks later.

I used to know someone who had a picture on hand for anyone asking her for bobs and vegene. She'd send them a file named something like "cute chick with pussy.jpg" Anyone opening it was greeted by an image of a baby chick and a kitten together.

Tangential personal piss-offs are people who either: (1) don't know you at all and try to act like your lifelong best friend when they interact with you out of the blue, or (2) women who call any male "daddy."

YouTuber boxing. Please do not give anything made well-known by the Paul brothers any attention.

Singular "they". I don't care if it's been used for centuries. Obviously, it hasn't been used widely enough to be standard or accepted. Sure, you can make a case for singular "they" being used in casual conversation where clarity isn't that important, but not in formal writing. I don't understand the push for it when there are other words that can be used that aren't ambiguous.

On a related note, it pisses me off how linguistic prescriptivism is constantly shat on. I'm not against languages changing, but if they change in a way that makes communication less concise & more vague or ambiguous, then it isn't wrong to enforce the rules & fight back against the change, minorities be damned. Without the rules & conventions, we wouldn't be able to understand one another right now.

Looks like it's time to send you to the Ministry of Love, comrade.
