You know they parodied I Love Lucy in in Living Color & MadTV,. Both showed what the show would be like if set in modern times.
One of them had Lucy killing a suspected pedophile, the other had Ethel having sex with the installation guy to get free cable for the whole building.
So neither the original '50s family friendly & safe show or the '90s & the '00 hard edgy parody jokes would fly today.

You could never do a show like it, a show HEAVILY marketed towards kids, you can never do that today. Not in a million years. We'll see with that reboot but it seems like it's angling more towards the adult audience.

Pre-Code Hollywood would definitely not fly today. Lots of innuendos, dated fundamentals, revealing clothing, class.

Couple years ago they remade Cabin Fever in what I consider the most pointless remake ever. Just copied the not even two decades old movie made in the same country in the same language, just worse, not improving anything. Of course this was missing from it, too. Utter abomination.
