The Worst TV Shows You've Ever Seen

My Life Me

/co/ frequenters should know what I'm talking about

I wasn't even on /co/ when this show first came to and I'm aware of just what weeaboo shit this is - this was actually made by a Canadian weeaboo of a little girl.
Canada, weeaboo, little kid with no real experience in this industry = all-out losing combination.
DAMMIT, CANADA.

Sym Bionic Titan. I actually got to watch an episode on Adult Swim when they brought Toonami back & I couldn't stand how shitty it was. The episode in particular had the girl get infected with alien DNA & instead of it simply killing her, it alters her DNA until she becomes the alien. I got to see the first episode on stream & I had to stop when the aliens called the humans humanoids.

I'm fully convinced that the only reason people liked it was because the gaudy, discount, North Korean animu art style & really slow, "atmospheric" pacing reminded them of Samurai Jack. I've seen people get pissed at Dragon Ball Z for being poorly paced but then I see this garbage and its 'tard raging fans.

Then there's also this:

I heard that the creator was actually trying to make his show like Astro Boy, as if this piece of shit could compare to an Osamu Tezuka product. Not only was Tezuka a much more competent science fiction writer, his art deco era artwork didn't make me wanna punch my eyes out with an industrial strength piston.

Tartakovsky also took inspiration from the Toei animated films of the 60s in the art design for Samurai Jack, which was a much-better show overall.

The art style doesn't look too different from Dexter's Lab, though.

big brother (it doesn't help that the italian version of it has han horrible conductor) and probably all the crap that tlc does now (and we get it in italy without having tlc, tho. we have real time, that is tlc minus the name.)

What seems to come up for me is the old Super Mario Bros. cartoon.

As for some more adult shows, I really felt Dexter dropped the ball in a lot of regards. The vast majority of the characters in the show were unlikeable to me. Between Dexter's whiny and slutty sister Debra, Maria, who completely destroys this one woman's career by having her boyfriend cheat on her, James "I have a stick up my ass" Doakes (although to be fair, his suspicion on Dexter wasn't uncalled for), very few of the characters had any likeable aspects about them. Dexter, the sociopath who constantly puts his friends and family's lives at risk, was a much more likable and sympathetic character. And honestly, not even he was enough to save the show for me.

Another issue I had with it is that it became a bit too formulaic. Each season that I've seen followed a similar structure. There's usually this one major bad guy that gets on Dexter's case the entire season, Debra is out dealing with her relationship issues, one or two of Dexter's cop buddies have some relationship sub-plot, ect. I dropped it right after
Debra finally catches Dexter in the act

And from what I've heard from my parents, who both enjoyed the show far more than I did, the ending was garbage. Now, my parents tend to enjoy most stuff they watch. They're not like me in that I nitpick and criticize every tiny little thing. But if even they couldn't defend this show's ending, you KNOW something is just not right.

I'm sure there are FAR worse shows out there, but I don't watch a lot of TV now a days, so, eh.

I could contribute something I have seen on german tv. It is called "Lindenstraße" or if you translate it roughly, "Limetree Street".
The show is germany's longest running telenovela, airing each sunday for over 30 years and is pretty much only watched by people above the age of 60. This is supposed to be the opening.
Already sleep inducing if you ask me. The show itself is not better. It pretty much boils down to showcasing the daily lives and "hardships" of some german people living in the title giving street somewhere in german's city of Cologne with focus on some house with different tenants, who are either old or middle aged people.
And I am not talking about some mexican or american telenovela stuff about rich people and intrigues but just stuff of your average "Joe" (or "Hans" in the german case) , spiced up once in a while with whatever social shit goes on in german politics being commented on in an episode to make it feel like it matters.
The show was something interesting in germany when it aired 30 years ago (german television was pretty much up until the 90s at least 20 years behind what America had aired on tv so far) but by today's standard it is deader than disco. Yet ironically they still produce a new episode each week. Why? The channel it airs on actually gets fundings by the german government, because it was the first tv channel in germany.

Sounds like EastEnders or The Archers.

The Daniel Tosh's personal own abortion Brickleberry. holy crap was that show bad, its so so bad even young try-hard me that it sucked and he thought family guy was one the best shows ever.
like seriously how the fuck did this crap last three seasons?!?

Yeah, I saw a few episodes too. I really didn't like it either. The art style looks blegh, the CGI is obvious and the characters are unlikable or bland. I think there's a reason why the show bombed (aside from the lack of a toy).

Plus the way you described that episode makes me question if someone on the staff had a fetish for alien transformation.

Oh, fucking Brickleberry, fuck Daniel Tosh. This show came out around the time he got accosted for that rape joke & as if he weren't repulsive enough, he just had to chase the coat tails of Seth MacFarlane. He actually used the first episode as his echo chamber to white knight himself. I don't know a single person that doesn't hate Daniel Tosh or that ghetto-Family Guy he created.

That new show Bordertown that Seth MacFarlane and one of the writers of Family Guy created looks like it's definitely going to be one of the worsts. I tried watching a clip of it and it was literally unwatchable.

You're braver than me, then. I haven't seen it and I knew it was going to suck royal ass - this is MacFarlane we are talking about here...

What happens when MacFarlane tries a different artstyle. And it looks worse than his usual.
I think that's the style Mark Hentemann wanted. That's the same artstyle he used for his previous show on MTV, 3 South. The only difference was 3 South was actually pretty good. This feels like it's trying, but its restrictive format prevents it from really getting anywhere.
