So I've been doing a bit of research. Obligatory disclaimer that I'm not a medical professional, I just like research and learning about weird conditions. I am here with my armchair diagnosis, and holy shit if I'm right and the fetus survives somehow she's seriously fucked and there is no way Kim will be able to handle this.
I started out doing some reading about caudal regression syndrome, which is (to my understanding) not something Kim confirmed but it is the most likely "scoliosis" since that wouldn't show in ultrasound.
On the NORD website's page for
caudal regression syndrome, I was looking at the related disorders and found a condition called
VACTERL association. It can cause a lot of organs to be malformed/malfunctioning, spinal anomalies including sacral agenesis and scoliosis, and kidneys not functioning normally.
This article explains it pretty well. I found two more articles (
1,
2) that mostly went over my head; however, something interesting I found from the first article was the following quote from the abstract about the causes of VACTERL: "maternal diabetes is the only environmental influence implicated to date." Further down in the same article (last paragraph of Environmental Influences) it says exposure to alcohol could cause some of the malformations. The second article has a lot of data and tables, not as much medical terminology, but I'm too tired to sort through it.

Spine abnormality confirmed. Renal abnormality confirmed. That's already 2/7 confirmed by Kim before babby even pops out, and you only need 3/7 for diagnosis. There's a decent chance that the "basically no organs" could be GI/heart/limb abnormalities but run through a Kim Brain filter.
