There must be something Phil gets out of WWEC aside from short rush of dopamine from a full roll (?), being top wallet and guild attraction or the mindless drooling fun of powerful gem damage.
Lesser whales of more sensible priorities just whale, get nothing they want and quit. Phil still holds on to WWEC which is potential threat to his beloved "legacy".

Is winning this important to this poor dood ? I think when we finally pin the realization of accepting loss into Phil, he might just die on spot of heartbreak.

Phil is the biggest believer of his "us vs. them" narrative that he presents to his audience every day.

I'm pretty sure that trolls finding out that he's a mobile game addict made him want to whale out even more than he used to. Kind of like he's going "I know you know and you can't do anything about it, trolls!".

We constantly call Phil's paypigs pathetic (which they are), but not one of them is more pathetic than their pigly master. He'll squander every opportunity life gives him, ignore every good advice is offered to him, and claim to be a victim.

Long story short, I think the only thing that makes Phil keep on being a whale is, other than his addiction, the fact that he has nothing in his life to look forward to. Mobile games and gin give him an escape from his shitty life.

2) He acts like ham sandwiches are a bad thing, like only poor people eat sandwiches. In the context of the statement it makes sense as he is referring to the honeymoon date that he wanted. The issue here is twofold. He both didn't set aside money for it, which I personally think means he blew that birthday money immediately and expected the next few days to cover it. The second issue is more into his mindset, with him needing something special everymeal. Blueblood Burnell can't eat cereal or a sandwich like the rest of us, he needs food catered specially for him and his tastes, it is the only reason he has as a excuse for DooDashing every day. Aside from general incompetence in the kitchen he can't even be assed to make sandwiches to eat, because he is too good for two slices of bread and lunch meat.

The funny thing is it's not like Phil is even spending his money on quality overpriced meals. From everything he reveals about his eating habits, he's primarily ordering fast food. It's so expensive because he refuses to drive a few blocks to pick it up and he seemingly orders too much food each time and throws a portion of it away. This is just a rough guess, but I'd say every delivery he's probably wasting around $10 to $15 between extra charges, tipping whatever bare minimum he justifies so he isn't blacklisted and whatever gets thrown out.

Lawyer Phil is one of my favorite Phils. Phil is always talking out of his ass but it becomes so much worse when he starts talking about legal matters or how the criminal justice system works.

Because Phil honestly thinks that he can "do no wrong." Everything that goes against the pignoisis is illegal in his mind. Oh, you use his work without asking for permission? illegal! Oh, it's part of "fair use"? No, it's not *snort* So, I know you're reading this, Phil, so let me explain what a law student once told me during my times in uni.

Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976, it states "allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research." AND under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 states "commentary and criticism or fair use fair use principles allow you to reproduce some of the work to achieve your purposes."

Also, to "break copyright.", your work has to be registered with the U.S. Copyright office. After a quick check of Burnell Productions, it didn't come up *snort*
