Sidenote: Phil just explicitly said that he has to calculate his monthly business expenses for his taxes.
Phil has not spent a substantial amount on his 'business' since the PS5 release. Everything else has been gifted, gamepass meant that he purchased next to no games for an extended period of time, he has repeatedly begged for and apparently received game credits for game purchases, and his internet is a relatively fixed and stable amount. So other than far fewer receipts than normal each month, what exactly requires extensive calculations for business expenses? It's as though there is some significant 'business expense' that is variable each month... hmmm.
But he's also equally likely to be blowing this out way of proportion so he can take a few nights off.
I find it funny, because we know the truth about his expenses, so if he's telling the truth, he's making himself look like he's taking time off to go through his receipts and highlight all those iTunes transactions as "business expenses". Which is tax fraud. I doubt he actually is, but when you know where his money goes, and you know he committed bankruptcy fraud, which involved the same action (hiding his frivolous spending inside "business expenses"), it looks like Phil is up to some shit.
But yeah, he's probably just wanting to ditch a couple of night streams for some other reason. We'll know what it is, when the day streams for them happen, because if it's for gacha whaling, his tips goal may not be elevated, but his begging will be.
This shit about the thumbnails is ridiculous. He's against anything requiring any effort. For fucks sake, the vtubers on the platform use thumbnails for unarchived streams and member streams all the fuckin time. It helps with visibility and actually helps explain what the fuck is going on in the stream.
His flippancy regarding any sort of effort is so weird and bad.
Phil harps a lot on the little things these days, so it makes it extremely noticeable WHICH of those little things occur to him, and which don't. Chalk it up to whatever, but he's putting all the onus on the audience, and ignoring the little things that are HIS job. Which is revealing, because guess what he says about the chat talking about money?
It was one thing when Project 7 turned out to be too much work for him, but it's quite another for him to now be so fucking lazy that selecting decent thumbnails is out of the question. Especially when he's supposedly so gung-ho about reviving the dead channel that was just an archive before Twitch de-partnered him. If I knew very little about Phil, my first assumption would be that his thumbnails look ridiculous because they're supposed to. Which sounds okay at first, then you realize that if that lures somebody in, they're going to eventually figure out the truth.
Let me tell you, it's never worse for people like Phil, than when someone feels tricked. Stumble into a mess unwittingly, okay. Be lured in with candy? Now you're pissed.

I'm of the opinion that was a unique situation that no other woman could repeat. Leanna ran her mouth after leaving, Kat has been non-existent for years. Leanna was his first girlfriend, Kat was barely even one at all. Leanna looked better than a guy his rank usually gets, Kat gets compared to a horse constantly, and not just here. Leanna drew attention to a major hole in his LARPing game, annoyed him on many occasions, and ripped him a new one the last we saw her in the Snort Fort. Comparatively, Kat may as well have been a drawing of a face taped to a mop.
