I know a guy on Youtube who's whole stream is just running to the end of Minecraft. He's been doing it for years. A utterly hopeless goal and without commentary is some of the most boring gameplay you could ever witness. You know why people still tune in to him? Because he's an entertainer. He understands that the game isn't going to carry itself and he has to entertain his audience via talking about his other hobbies, life events, news, etc.
